wow what a negative dreary person you are.

Its not binary or mutually exclusive to improve things off the pitch and on at the same time.
Far from it,this footy forum was non stop negative last season ,i rarely post this side ,i've never been negative about the team or even Short .I turn up and get on with it.My point was the timing given the job they've took on and by their admission it being a big task.

Imagine thinking Jack Ross and his backroom staff will be involved in implementing improvements to fan zones, beer prices and the like.
Not good with numbers then? Why did all the staff get paid off? club shops closed, fan zone closed ,they dont pick the team

Short-sightedness such as that displayed by the OP is the very reason we're in this mess. Football has changed, you need to understand that and deal with it.
It was still 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and fuck all for the loser last time I looked. We're in this mess because there's been far too much of the latter, not because seats are pink, the fanzone being fuckin' baltic, and it taking 20 minutes to get a pint of piss.

I'm fine with numbers. How will bringing back a fan zone effect buying players and sorting tactics?
Just pound notes, why did they close it if it doesn't effect anything ? Yeah its peanuts compared to a players wages but all the stuff adds up and lets face it we aren't rolling in it

Id like to know why they closed it too cause it was an insane decision, the fanzone is a brilliant addition to a matchday and great for keeping kids wanting to come back.

Maybe it wasn't ran properly and was losing money? Doesn't mean it shouldn't be brought back if it can be ran properly and help the matchday experience. If it just broke even yet helped people like slow joe and his son have a better time then I'm all for it.

I don't think the choice is simply have a good team but no fanzone or good fanzone and a shit team.

Win games, easy peasy .It shouldn't be anywhere near their priority at this stage
Closer to the club

Wrong. The matchday experience has been poor for a long-time and the new owners are right to try and improve things. Of course, results will help, but more needs to be done to improve the SOL for the loyal fans that attend matches.

I don't know where your season card is, but the North Stand concourse was shite last year.

I'm a cheat me, responded to it a second time today but in response to the club email - unfortunately got all the way through and I got the error report - 'Bandwidth Exceeded" please try later. Perhaps that's an automatic duplicate sensor :)

Decided to spend 10 minutes answering questions for them and it crashed at the end before submission
says it all really
Sounds like they want to improve stuff and give us an identity etc but we've had all that
what we want is product on the pitch ,keep your murals and walk on music and fan zones

Your 'says it all's comment really does 'say it all' about the imeasuraimme expectations and self perpetuating negativity amongst fans even amidst such huge changes. It's tiresome. Other moans and groans I'd expect to hear during the upcoming season.

"The new seats are a bit red aren't they, says it all really"

''Not sure about the supply chain transparency of the beef mince in that pie, says it all really'

"Did you see the toilets don't have an eco flush, says it really"

"Mind, the tea ladies tabard is a bit untidy, says it all really"

"At home to Fleetwood, 4-0 is a disgrace for a pseudo PL team, says it all really"

"That wind tunnel is impacting my experience of the game, says it all really"

"No ambition"

Don't think there is anything the club can do to appease negativity even during a reset moment such as now when we have the opportunity to rebuild from scratch.

Say it all really.

Was never going to appeal to me but it seemed to be well used .Fair to say some panicking was done as everything imploded

Take your point ,on that comment,it was a flippant remark .As i said i don't really get involved in slagging the team off .Its just seemed ironic they send the survey ,which i dont think is top of the agenda for us at the moment then the server cant cope with replies .Its almost like someone asking you a question and them walking away while you answer.I agree as a bunch we are very negative so i'm surprised the stick i'm getting over this ,pot/kettle .

My match day experience hasnt changed in years, meet mates have a few pints ,go to game, stop til end ,leave .
Dont know the mix of who comes these days but i see the core as blokes who have a few pints ,turn up bang on kick off or a bit late ,maybe a bet and a pint then go .When we were flying you attract a better mix ,families ,kids, neutrals, uni students etc .People will endure poor beer and stuff if we're top of the league and winning .We've had the best shop with the best car park and the most customers with nothing on the shelves already .

Agree but its about what matters first ,i was expecting a back to basics approach with our new leaner set up .Small steps.I assumed they're counting every penny.

I'm not confused about anything
they've just took over a club which they admit will be a challenge and its massively top heavy.Good results will see bums on seats and happy fans ,happy fans will put up with poor beer and prices etc etc .No one will go to a fab satdium experience to see poor football and us losing

Don't mind any of it just don't see it as a priority right now

:lol::lol:
aye ,me the season card holder for 20 odd years ,never goes early, never boos ,i'm the reason we're in league 1

We can do it all, there are people in place at the club to make sure the changes are implemented. Not a problem and only something to be positive about surely.

Surely it's all about connecting with the fans again. We had more of a connection when Quinny was here but that left when he did. It looks to me like they want to make the whole experience of coming to the match a positive one. Ultimately it'll be what happens on the pitch which keeps fans happy but if it wasn't premium price for a piss poor pint then more fans would have a few beers in the ground beforehand as opposed to drinking in town then turning up for kick off. I know I would. They're asking what we as fans want, surely this has to be seen as a positive thing?

The implication of that though is what happens on the pitch is entirely independent of what happens off it around the rest of the club. The two are totally interdependent and a professional mindset off can only benefit the football side. To think that you can solely fix the first team I'd too simplistic.

Yeah. "Says it all really" as yo how thick you are. I filled it in fine.
The club can't do right.
Idiots like you twisting if they do.

It’s a really shit survey. I have completed it but is any of it important? I think not. Is it nice to be asked unimportant questions? Sometimes aye.
The good thing is they are trying to interact and not just take Roker roar or als as the voice of the fans

Hey up. It's WHED The Cherry Knowls reject.

Hi babes, not sure where you have escaped from but I’m pretty sure I’m not WHED as I’ve no clue who WHED is. It’s obvious he stole your girlfriend/boyfriend though which in normal circumstances is frowned upon

Only one pot of money though ?
We've done all that big spending, forward thinking, professional mindset stuff already haven't we ?
Spent a fortune down the years and the fans still disappeared in their droves .Not because of music or stands or zones or facilities but because we weren' t very good on the park .
