I was wrong on Curran, he is 19

Not be long now, when we have our first player born in the 2000s playing

Where @TheRey

I’ve never ever rated him, let’s see
Came back well and we need to take advantage of this swing that's available

Curran bowling high 70s but it's swinging for him as well

Looked a bit floaty mind
Agreed. Pitched it well up but the batsman played a beautiful cover drive for four.

I can't believe how much swing there is.

A beauty from woakes, turned the batsman inside out but no thin edge

Vast improvement in the second over from woakes, another gem beat the batsman

39 for 2

The other Curran brother bowls a bit faster iirc

To be fair, this is a lad of 19, coming on after England's two most successful bowlers, bowling a good initial spell.

He is getting swing and it only needs a slight misjudgement for an edge to come

Now he produces a good inswinger but not out

100%, he bowled well at Lords too - despite being hampered by shit tactics.
Heard a comment the other day that says he is picked for his pace when the pitch is flat, but never on a pitch where it’s doing something

I don’t particularly rate him, but I think this is shabby (I get the argument about batting prowess, but they’ve dropped him for Woakes AND Curran. If you’re that worried about the batting PICK A BATSMAN)

Can we fast track Jofra Archer ? Find him a long lost grandad or something ?

Wholeheartedly agree. There's something wrong if you're picking bowlers based on their ability to bat. It's up to numbers 1-7 to score runs, 8-11 are invariably there to take wickets.

Did Root say what he would have done had he won the toss? Seems like Pakistan made the same mistake England did, by batting.

I know what you mean, I kind of think they just about got it right here

wanted 5 bowling options, could have picked Wood for Curran like.
