Looking at his stats, he's been a manager for 115 games. When Reid took over he'd been a manager for 131 games. Reid had obviously had more experience at a big club with good players, but I wouldn't discount the experience Ross has had where he's been dependent on his tactical nous and man management ability. Reid also inherited a team that was doing ok. Either way, Reid wasn't that much more experienced than Ross when he took over
Ya - a bit apples and oranges, but he seems quite smart

I'm happy with this appointment.

I am too. Sounds like he did good stuff at St Mirren. But I won't allow myself to get carried away and fall into that trap. I need to reserve judgement till I have seen him do something. Not that I could fall in. It is already full to bursting with SMB members. I could walk over the trap just using the bodies of those members who have got carried away and believe he is the one without having seen him work. We need to separate St Mirren from Sunderland. It is a totally different challenge. Just because he could do it there doesn't mean he will do it here. But we can hope.

A bloke on the radio, Mike Parry said he will swim across the Wear if safc are promoted with Ross at the helm. Also that he predicted Grayson would be a disaster.

But if you don't, there's about 10 numpties who start calling you all sorts!

Ah well that's it if some bloke on the radio said it then I'm not gonna bother going this season.

I’m going to make own mind up and decide after watching how the squad is reshaped and how pre season goes. Seems like Ross did a similar stop the rot and rebuild job at St.Mirren which is exactly what’s needed here.
