Pretty much. If he looked after himself better he might be more use to us but as it is, he can barely last an hour and the hour he's on it's not exactly Steed quality
He is so immobile it's untrue. The ease with which opposition players walk past him is frightening.

I'm not sure how putting his hand out to tell team mates not to pass to him is going to fit in?

Spent majority of his SAFC career doing that. Yet majority couldn't (or wouldn't) see that it's been a major reason for us being poor.

He managed it with Alonso, Borini, Mannone, Ki, Colback and (to be fair to him) Bardsley which meant more than half of the starting XI were comfortable keeping the ball. He lost all but Mannone that summer, and the replacements were Rodwell, PVA, Bridcutt, Gomez, Jones and Buckley.

I didnt realise it was that many that left at the time, Vergini should included on both sides tbf, thats the entire midfield nearly plus Alonso. I still rate refusing to pay 10m for Ki and then spending exactly that on Rodwell as one of the worst mistakes of the last ten years.
