they'll be windmilling around the technical areas knowing some of the dicks at the SoL in that case
He did go into the crowd and discuss things with the Saints fans at one point, not allowed to post links yet but type in Jack Ross goes into the crowd and see for yourself.

St Mirren boss feels like it’s a death in the family as he confirms Ross leaves for Sunderland

Fitzpatrick had been saying that Saints were looking to be challenging at the top of the league in the near future, Ross must have helped transform the place.

I'm a St Mirren fan who lives in Cleadon and is married to a Mackem. I was going to post a couple of days ago when this all blew up, but your board wouldn't let me.

Anyway, if there's anything that's not been covered already (in relation to Jack Ross) that you'd like to ask, feel free to fire away.
Basically, how good do you think he is and will he be successful here in your opinion?

Style of play we can expect?

Honestly, I think he's got something special. In a year's time, with hindsight, if you're not all totally delighted with his appointment, I'd be stunned.

We've had managers who've achieved more than he has for us in recent years and there was never this amount of hype over any of them. He very quickly become a not-very-well-kept secret within football. I realise he may not have made it onto many of your radars, but honestly, he's a good guy.

Some of Fitzpatrick' thoughts.

“I know Rangers have had a hard time recently but they are back in the league now so I know it will be harder. But apart from Celtic just now, I believe because of Brendan Rodgers, I think when you have a great leader like Jack Ross then everything is possible.

“He has done a better job than Sir Alex in some ways because Sir Alex made sure he kept his young players, whereas we have sold three of ours. We have brought in a lot of money from their sales but they were all first-team players and Jack has still built a team without them.

“For him to do that is an incredible thing. You talk about Leicester winning the Premiership being a miracle but I think where we have come from in the last 18 months is a miracle. There is no other story in Scottish or British football, where you are bottom of the league going to go down, being so many points behind and having to win every game to stay up, to then being champions.”

“I don’t mention Sir Alex lightly but I see the same traits in Jack as a young Alex Ferguson,” the chief executive said.

Style of play we can expect?

We had a small (in stature) squad but played on the front foot. 4-2-3-1, with proper pace across the front four, who played quite fluidly in terms of positioning. Full backs encouraged to press on.

He seemed not to prefer a big target man, though that might have been down to available personnel. We had John Sutton (Chris' brother) but he didn't get much game time as he wasn't mobile enough to suit the style.

It's rare at our level for teams to escape Championship playing football the 'right' way, but we have done it. Fans are mainly panicking about what his replacement will bring in terms of style.

Also: he's a sexy, dapper man. I'm off to buy shares at Master Debonaire.
