Eddie Howe fits the bill, time he made a step up?
On paper yes, but on league performance/players it's a close call. Bournemouth are a rich club and a hell of a nicer place than West Ham is, or will ever be. If EH takes a step up it will be to a top 10 club or perhaps the England set-up. Anyone else think he could be a future England manager?

If he succeeds somewhere other than Bournemouth or achieves more than surviving year on year maybe. When he moved on to (Er, was it Burnley?) he failed iirc.

Don't really disagree with that. Watford have established themselves as a Premier League club and a stepping stone for players and managers.

Spent less than all but Burnley and Bournemouth.
Pardew

Thank you for backing me up.

And Pardew, you've just got to laugh haven't you  Newcastle's best manager in years and more successful than Benitez has been there, mad innit

London, Newcastle centre and quayside is as good as anywhere in the uk though and far from a dive like you lot seem to think
Come on, seriously, considering the millions that been poured into the place, I’d say it’s ok, but that’s it.

Look outside the centre and quayside and I wouldn’t walk around on my own, put it that way. I think you need to get out and see the world a bit, you’re starting to believe the hype put about by people like yourself.

doesn't always work like that Benitez i'm sure could have went to a bigger club than us, some like the challenge? The potential to unlock something?

is he any good? or just look the part? EH

that goes for almost every city though no?

Benitez would mental to leave his current job. Really nuts.

He will never get another like it. Circa £5m a year, no pressure, the unconditional devotion of almost all of his clubs fans, a fawning local media, an un- demanding owner and a lot of waistcoats.

He is a very good coach. He will never be so well rewarded as he is at the moment. Leaving would be an act of self harm.
