Not lower, the same. If Burnley offered more, they'd get their man because he's compensated for playing at a less prestigious club. If they offered the same, the player would plump for Everton.

I wouldn't say that would happen with every player seeing where Burnley are right now...Everton certainly wouldn’t get the player at a reduced price like a Man U or Man City would over Everton.

Outside of the big 5/6 clubs, every other club in that league will be seen as a similar level and would come down to wages primarily and then location.

Should Watford offer the same wage as Newcastle, to some foreign player, the player would choose Watford, just to be in the capital and have that lifestyle.

Which is exactly why Rafa would choose West Ham over the mags IF the board will support him in the transfer market. With that location, and crowd size West Ham could easily challenge the top 6 with the right management.

He has always been slightly geographically tied to West Kirby, and still is for a little while longer his youngest will be GCSE this year. Door to door it is slightly slower to get to Newcastle then taxi to Liverpool, train to London.

And it's not meant to be a dig at Newcastle (as i think you do have more to offer at the minute than teams like Watford etc), it's more a case of the sad state football has got into with agents, crazy wages and basically 95% of footballers being pricks.

Haway man we all thought he would fuck it up in the Championship when they went down because he wasn’t used to that level.

We were wrong and unfortunately he’s done a good job and got a team relatively bereft of much Pl quality comfortably safe. He is a good manager

He's a good manager, aye, but that's it. Without shitloads of money for him to spend the mags are destined for the cannon foddery of mid table obscurity under him until either one paty has had enough, or he takes them down again.

If he leaves now, they run the risk of getting a manager who can actually manage within his means and get one of the also rans into Europe, like Dyche, or Pardew.

Don't really disagree with that. Watford have established themselves as a Premier League club and a stepping stone for players and managers.

Spent less than all but Burnley and Bournemouth.
Pardew

although of course with tv money not counting to wage bill limits, clubs with bigger crowds will have more to spend on wages
The size of Crowds/attendances count for nothing nowadays mate. I think the stats were less than 1%, of a clubs total turnover, make that much difference to the accounts. Its the TV money that has fuc ked the game up by making far to many journeymen footballers multi millionaires that are able to hold clubs to ransom...Suffice to say, nothing lasts forever.

have been rumours he feels he owes us after agreeing to join then reneging literally at the last minute when Madrid came in

As put on the other thread there plenty of cash floating around too, 43m net profit last season, 30m profit after that in January transfers, plus whatever was made this season
Ok, so you’re just quoting rumours instead of being ITK...

at least 70m plus whatever comes in from sales. probably more Sullivan knows the fans will be in uproar again otherwise
You mean that the east end is going to riot...probably...but it’ll make no difference. You take delusion to new heights.
