I'm concerned that we're already going to be short of a LOT of players. Bain was quoted yesterday as saying we're going to be losing 14 players before we even sell any. Unless we get taken over by some mega-rich mogul, it's going to be very hard to replace that many players.

Even if that weren't the case I'd want us to keep JOS for at least one more year, maybe 2, but 1 year at a time is probably more sensible contract-wise.
You have yet to assert a single cogent reason why the club should offer him another contract. He'll be on relatively big money, he's finished, he doesn't represent value.

I wouldnt keep him but there is a case.

Our defenders as it stands for next year will be Love, Matthews, Kone, Djilobodji & Oviedo. Can only see Matthews and love not being sold from that list

If we can't do better than O'Shea we aren't trying

I have to say this whole 'organising' thing people go on about with O'Shea. I'm not sure we've ever looked particularly organised with O'Shea at the back.
He couldn't organise a beetle drive

Get what your saying but me personally, I want a total clean slate from the old faces who have seen us reach this point. Nothing personal against O'shea or Cattermole but we HAVE to make a clean break from all the negativity.

You want rid of Catts too? It would be insane to try to buy an entire new squad in a single transfer window. I don't think I've ever heard it done by any professional team.

That said, central midfield is probably our position with the most depth...

Catts, McNair, Robson, Honeyman all vying for 2 or 3 places each match, not including subs. I think I'd still want us to have at least 4 if not 5 at the club in case of injuries, like. It wouldn't be unheard of for three of them to be injured at the same time.

They've counted up all the ballot papers

Are you f***ing joking? 1091
O'Shea 7
Honeyman 6
Asoro 4
McNair 3

On account of Are you f***ing joking? not being a player they've gave it the next highest
This f***ing serious like? Some of our fans are thick as a steel bridge and soft as a plastic fork. I'd hate to be with them in the trenches.

I wasn't suggesting he be offered the same money he'll have been on this year.

A division below, one year older, I'm sure he'd accept considerably less.

Of course not.

Think the majority of us thought that Wilson was a good signing and could do that. He's absolutely shite
I've no idea what the majority thought about Wilson. I'd be thinking more along the lines of a much younger, fitter, stronger, faster player who is proven at that level. It's a bar set to a very low notch to improve on the likes of has-beens like O'Shea & Wilson

You honestly think Mcnair and Honeyman will be here next season? Not a cat in bells chance.

Thought browning would be a decent signing because of his physical attributes but he was absolutely terrible

If he offered to pay the club to play I'd still tell him to sling his hook. He's finished, has been for several years was no great shakes even at his peak. That's my honest opinion

Wow, you have a seriously high bar for quality you'd find acceptable. I can't help thinking you would be disappointed with who we could afford to bring in as a replacement for League 1.
