To be fair, that's pretty much the best we can hope for. Someone takes advantage of the cheap price and has the ability to get us fairly competitive again, possibly even into the PL. At that point they could make a good profit from selling us onto someone who might have the backing to try and push us on again. Of course, as we've seen with Short, that doesn't always end well, but I'd certainly take it at present

Just been listening to the Roker report podcast and they mention how Short leaving might just bring back positivity to the club and lift it. They mentioned Keane and how if lifted the whole club. Might not solve all our problems but I prefer that scenario to the current one.
 
On the face of it Pearson has dotted around quite a lot and been involved at clubs with problems. That worries me, but he also seems to know the business and has experience of turnarounds. The idea is growing on me.
