It’s time to get behind Chris Coleman

You don't know that at all. You have no idea if he would take the job or not.

He would take it like, just like Coleman took it.

We are still a draw, despite what you say.

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago asking if he was the most charismatic SAFC manager of all time. The vast majority agreed. Having him in league one would be a big draw for players. His record with Wales speaks for itself. He didnt have a preseason and he knows what needs to be done

As does his record for Coventry.

I don’t know. But I doubt they have financial problems and an owner like ours.
League one teams hardly spend anything. We should be able to complete financially with other clubs in league one therefore we should also be able to attract a manager capable of getting us promotion.

Where did I say weren't a draw Johnson lad? You pissed already?

He couldn't even get a player to sign for us ahead of Barnsley ffs. He's not a big draw for players at all.

He had the opportunity yesterday to go for it, having seen that Burton were woeful in the first half, but he blew it. one up front on a must win game.......I thought he would have prepared the team/squad since his arrival but all i'm seeing are the same mistakes being made..

I met him at work a few weeks ago..lovely bloke no doubt about it..his stock has been high due to Wales success which was all down to having a player like Gareth Bale..he had no chance when he came here but obviously the money he's on was better than Wales..he's going to stay because he's not going to get this sort of money anywhere else..haway it's not fkn rocket science.

The way we are going, I’m concerned about getting a matchday squad together. Seriously. If Short stays, this squad is going to get decimated this summer and it’s shite already.

I’m not sure some fans appreciate the state we are in.

Given that new owners may want their own man and few would come in for the interim, however long that is, we may as well stick with him.
And maybe he's a better builder than firefighter; at least he knows the squad which stops another tedious fresh start for everyone.
If we had bought one keeper that had a run of good form that might have made us safe - one player, small margins.

This squad will not be here next season thank God.

Time to get behind Chris Coleman?

We did get behind him and he's put us in League 1 - with a squad easily good enough to avoid that.

Whatever salary he's on will be far too high in that league for a manager who has been a total failure for us.

His hands were tied together, folded in front of him when they werent in his pockets yesterday.
Seemed to have zero effect on proceedings, other than bring that bag of shite from Chelsea on.

Unless new owners are extremely rich, that will happen regardless of whether or not Short stays or goes.

You’ve just said League One clubs hardly spend anything. So, by your logic, our squad shouldn’t be decimated if we get non megawealthy owners.

Ok, if we get a big bid in for a player they will be sold, regardless of ownership. If we don't they will stay. We should be able to afford league one standard players.

Is that clearer?

I reckon it depends on change of ownership . New owners will certainly have a new manager in mind

Why ?

I would say it's more than likely new owners would keep a relatively "big name" manager.

His record with Wales is irrelevant.

Look at his club record for an accurate yardstick. He's been pretty damn awful

If you're going to commit tens of millions of pounds to turn around a failing business wouldn't you already have a short list for your key men ?

I don't think Coleman's shown enough to come out of this smelling of roses . Yesterday was as bad as anything under Grayson.

You’re just going to have to keep your toys in the pram a little longer, give CC the chance of a pre season and hopefully some funds and see how he does.
