It’s time to get behind Chris Coleman

Did he? What was this "shitstorm" he walked into?

He took over a struggling side and he knew he wasn't going to get any money, so he was fully aware of what he was getting into.

The excuses are wearing thin now, he hasn't had it any harder than half a dozen other championship managers, but they've all outperformed him easily.

Problems with the squad - some of which have been alluded to in the press.
Players who didn't want to be here on big contracts, refusing to play and/or faking injuries and being disruptive.
Our best player and top goalscorer decided to leave in December.
Absolutely no money to try and change things in January. The players who did come in would have been far from the players he ideally wanted.
Moving players out who didn't want to be here and couldn't replace them.
Injuries to key players pretty much all season.

Off the top of my head.

Hes not faultless by any means, but ultimately we need to back someone, at some point. Id be happy to give CC a chance to turn it around next year.

Nah mate, he isn't cut out for it, managers with more know how could have done a much better job

On what basis do you want him to stay ahead of Grayson?

Chopping and changing, we have sacked 1 managers in 3 years.

For the reasons above, I think its difficult to judge him on this season. I know some would disagree with this.

He showed a stomach for the fight by coming here in the first place and I like him and what he has to say. I cant think of anyone realistically better we could attract, and Im happy to give him a chance next year.

Mick McCarthy is out of work. We could do worse than sacking coleman and getting him in.

There will be plenty of managers better suited to League One

He didn't know anything about the championship, how will he know about league one

Mick McCarthy would be my number 1 target, he will get better offers, but I think as long as we get new owners he would go for it

People forget what a draw we are, 3 of our last 4 managers have been Allardyce, Moyes, Coleman, people will always come here as they think they can be the man to crack it

haha literally just said that.

I don't dislike the bloke as he does genuinely want to be here, and that does mean something

So not going to abuse him or go overboard, I just think we are better suited with a more hardened manager

We're going nowhere with Coleman in charge. His record against the teams around us is pitiful. These are the type of teams we'll be playing next season, so if he stays we'll struggle again .

I was against sacking him as I didn’t think the club could afford it. Now I think we can't afford not to or we could be looking at a triple relegation.

I reckon it depends on change of ownership . New owners will certainly have a new manager in mind and minimal chance it'll be Coleman . If Short digs in for the second season of parachute payments then Coleman might plough on.
No-one rates this squad lower then me but Coleman hasn't shown enough to keep his job.

He hasn’t done a very good job but his hands were tied. I don’t think he’s going anywhere, so despite what you want, bitching and moaning won’t achieve anything. Suppport him and see where we are come October time.
Are his hands tied to the point his tactics , game management and substitutions are utter shite?

If we are taken over by the Irish, I really do think Keane will be in charge next season. They are chancers.

I don’t even think we could attract a replacement anyway, at least a credible one. Who the hell would want the job?

Mick McCarthy would for sure.

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago asking if he was the most charismatic SAFC manager of all time. The vast majority agreed. Having him in league one would be a big draw for players. His record with Wales speaks for itself. He didnt have a preseason and he knows what needs to be done
