Winding back time.

If you could wind back time, would you do it?

As an adult with life experiences, are there many things you would tell your younger self to do differently from how you did it then?

Would you like to have your time again, armed with your experience of life so far? I would!!
Jesus , it's a scary thought . The thing is I would be an old man in a young body, disinterested in my contemporaries for their nieve stupidity probably and seen as overconfident by my elders . I could always hide my experience but would I be happy ?? Don't know.

I wouldn't know where to start telling my younger self where I've gone wrong. Mainly job and relationship choices - don't go to work for Gateshead Council should cover both.

Used to know a mechanic who worked at Gateshead council many years ago in the 70s. Went to the tech with him, shit I'm getting old

A bit before my time! But as I was made redundant from a job I'd had for years and loved and had a relationship with someone who wasn't worth the effort - I hope his experience was better than mine. And I'm getting old too.

No. Not a thing.

I would try not to be such a lazy bastard . I would try not to always take the easy way out. I would try to be more self confident. I would try to be more patient . I would support a decent football club . Fuck I'd be a completely different person ! There is room for improvement. Overall I'm a f***ing mess but good looks and animal cunning have provided a lifestyle that many would envy and I don't deserve .

Not sure I would want to do it all again, as great as life can be it's going to hurt like nowt right at times. I've done ok but from the day you are born the only thing certain is death, death of family, friends and even pets. I fucked some stuff up in my teens and early twenties but that's all part of who I am now. The only way is forward for me.

Absolutely not.

Had a very eventful few years which have completely molded me into the person I am today. I think if these things had not have happened I would not have the same outlook on life and would not have myself trying to be the best I can every day.

I'd tell my younger self not to be a little pussy and fuck Kayleigh. Still my biggest regret to this day.

Pussy

Strangely, I have been thinking about this just this week. Yes, I'd love to do things differently, but only if it meant I still had my kids, so paradox theory states it wouldn't work as I want.

I do wish I could have implanted my current brain into my head as a teenager. I'd like to think I'd be a millionaire by now.
I’ve read Replay by Ken Grimwood recently - a book of its time but it really makes you think about what you might do differently if you had your time again.

But the whole not having your kids thing is quite heart wrenching.

Probably go back and not try to whisk @mini-x2 hair in home economics. Could've been a world famous chef now

Twat. Was worth having my luxurious fringe entangled in your cooking implement just for the joy of seeing you sheepishly peeping in through the door window all afternoon after you’d been rightly banished for your oafish behaviour.

I’ve just made a decision in my life where I will probably look back in a year or two and think if it was the right or wrong one, fingers crossed it is
