When Newcastle nearly won the League

What's truly amazing is that the threads are obviously blatant piss takes ...... yet the mice still come flooding on to fling themselves into the traps

This thread has Mags on it yet history can't be changed, Newcastle had the title in their grasp and blew it.

But, for some reason, they believe that what Sunderland have or haven't done mitigates that collapse.

It doesn't and a million posts from the SMB Mags can't change the facts ...... yet here they are banging their heads against the forum walls.

They come on knowing they'll be laughed at but just can't resist ..... it's absolutely weird.

I reckon it's because they're all covert Sunderland fans. Or maybe those that became die-hard mags when it seemed pretty certain they were going to win it want to return?

What was the feeling amongst SAFC supporters?

This message board and Social Media wouldn't have been around so there wouldn't have been many Mags kicking about bragging and being unbearable unless you actually physically spoke to them.

I think if it were to happen these days it would be utterly unbearable.
who gives a shit?

After the Blackburn match somebody in The Blue Bell rang The Strawberry and asked if "Bobby Fenton" was in. Cue shouting "Is Bobby Fenton in?" Fortunately the reply was "no"
So they then asked if his "brother" Graham was in...

Cue abuse from the other end of the phone :)

Didn't Niall Quinn admit to phoning the strawberry after one of the mags spectacular defeats?

The Bell and Windmills used to phone the Strawberry quite a bit, and vice versa of course. One day some thick fucker phoned Windies using his mobile and forgot to hide the number

Will never forget that night. I was a bus driver at the time.
Listening to my radio, when they scored i nearly crashed the fucker.
There was a small gathering of mags in the Board inn Pub as i peaked in the window when i pulled up

I for one was a touch worried

Cantona scuffed volley in front of the gallowgate is a f***ing great goal. The beginning of the end for the dream. Great goal.

People forget that the mags were normalish then. Still weird but had been on the back of 3 decades of dogshit themselves so knew what it was like. They were more like Leicester in terms of fanbase. Kernts but can deal with them.

That keegan era bred the mass generation of believers and they were bred with the Geordie nation bollocks That was pumped into them. Still some ok ones around though

They’d be a much better club without those years imho

12 points clear

And yanar what, forget the fact they’re 2 divisions above us, winning that would have seen them go ahead forever

Now they’ve missed the boat and it’s always salvageable.

But they fucked it up

There are 20 odd clubs who can always compete for 7th-17th in the top flight - if they’d win that they’d be one of the current big sides who are insurmountable

The f***ing stupid horrible cunts
