When you finish the mod, in the bonus area there is a button which says "Adjust" or something similar

Click that and you have the option to add the bonus of your choice at the cost of 1 reputation with the engineer

(ie Level 5 access becomes level 4)
I thought that was only available if you managed to get a random roll which gave an experimental effect which you wanted to change. For example, if you have rolled a mod and you get an experimental effect you already have on another weapon you can then choose to change it for another experimental effect which you'd rather have i.e. you can't just elect to stick an experimental effect on a mod on every single roll.

I've added experimentals to a few of my weapons and I'm pretty certain the only time I've been offered to change the experimental effect is when the spinny thing has given me the 1/8 or 1/10 chance to actually add an experimental mod.

Damn you Chebs I'm going to have to go and find out now!

Well bugger me you're right!

When I think of all the mats I've been wasting waiting to get an experimental effect by chance...!

Took the Python out to Broo and now its kitted out with:

1x Large M/C G5 Overcharged + Incendiary
2x Large M/Cs G5 Overcharged + Auto Loader
1x Medium M/C G5 Overcharged + Incendiary
1x Medium M/C G5 Overcharged + Corrosive

Now to see what it can do.

Well the piratey fuckers don't like me anymore (Ant Hill Mob) so cannot turn my missions in. The station is KOS to me as I found out when I dont a recce past it and it opened fire on me  Twats.

So stuck for something to do. Not sure where I've dumped all my cargo and passenger cabins so will have to try get to a station to find out so I can do some trading/passenger runs until these fuckers let me back in.

Was just getting rep up enough to get some nice payouts as well. Any ideas on getting rep to get back with them (also how do I check what the rep currently is and when I'm clear to go back to Orbital?).

Just got to hope I don't die and lose all these missions I've completed. Already smacked into a planet and had 1% hull left! :D

I'm definitely feeling this.

Absolutely sick of unlocking engineers until my eyes bleed. I don't want to think about how many credits I've hoyed at unlocking them but easily tens of millions.

The Anaconda is good at killing now.

Tired of combat after grinding to Competent.

Quite fancy a Clipper in the distant future for trading/mining/credits so went to my favourite Empire grinding station, it's in lock down

Okay then, better get back to engineers.

One of the few I haven't unlocked is The Dweller because he looked so easy, just trade in five black markets.

Hoyed some Slaves in the boot, checked eddb.io for stations with black markets, every single one has disabled their black market. Nowt else, just the markets

I had a quick look at Artemis Lodge in Celaeno yesterday. They're doing the 'Kill the Ant Hill Mob Pirates' missions as well but there is no AHM presence in that system so you can take those missions without fear of the station opening up on you when you return to cash them in. I'm only allied with one of the factions there but still managed to take 6 missions for a total of 36 pirates and got around 30M Cr.

If you lay off the pirate missions and basically don't do anything to piss off the AHM your rep with them will normalise to 'Unfriendly' within 3-4 days and you should be able to dock at their stations again.

Tell a lie... just checked and the missions I handed in at Artemis have made me allied with 3 of the factions and I'm Neutral, Cordial and Friendly with the other 3 there.

Just accepted another 6 contracts for 48 pirates in total for a 36M Cr payout.

On a side note: yesterdays shenanigans put me over 5Bn Cr in total assets! :D

Ah, I nearly flew to there as well as was looking for somewhere to do some missions! I'll head there, not sure what to do with the missions I have stored as took me fkn ages to get them and there's about 15-20 mil or so in them  Bound to die before I cash them like!

Take a Suicidewinder in on silent running. :D

I wouldn't have done that  I'll check a guide later and give it a whirl. This could be an expensive death!
Strip the Sidey of everything bar 2 heat sinks. Position yourself >8km from the station and line up with the slot.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!

Drop one heat sink at about 4km out and one just before you get to the slot. Remember to ask for landing permission!

Well that went well, shot me to fuck before I got anywhere near it lol

Fkn shit loads of missions gone and time spent on them. Twats.

Oh wait, it keeps your missions! Doh gonna have to try again!

Just leave them dormant for a few days. Do the Road To Riches. When you get back you'll not be considered Hostile, you can cash in the missions and you'll have a few hundred million credits in exploration data to bump you back up to Allied with the AHM.

Dont get this at all, got temp to almost nowt and boosting towards the station and it just shoots me.

Am i best off getting a big explorer type ship for that with good jump range? Think my Python only has a 15ly jump range or summit. Then just a planet scanner and body scanner and scan the planets it lists?

Nah, you never have far to go and you can enter the furthest distance you want to go from your start point on the page.

Yes, you need an Advanced Scanner and a Detailed Surface Scanner. Only scan the planets listed or you'll be wasting your time for little money.

After all the pew-pewing I've been up to lately I finally ran out of elements to synthesise small-calibre munitions so went on a hunt to Taygeta 7. Big mistake! Its a 2.9G moon and I hit a little hard. Hull down to 68% on my poor little AspX.

I smacked the planet the other night and had 1% hull left. I accidentally clicked my button to turn alt flight controls on so instead of my boosters pushing me up they shot me into the ground even harder! Keep doing that, was getting wrong for headbutting a station the other night too from doing the same thing..

This road to riches, do I just go to the end of it and then sell all my data and then do the trip back? Or does this take me in some kind of circle? Do I keep everything till the end and sell it!?

On the link you can enter the max distance from your start point. It defaults to 200Ly so in that instance it gives you a list of every system with high value planets in a sphere centred on your starting system. I did it in an AspX with 44Ly jump range so at no point was I more than 5 jumps from where I started. Its good because if you get bored you can always take a break and go back to your base system.

Normally I'd advise against hoarding your data until the end because, unlike mission payouts, if you lose your ship you lose all the unclaimed data as well. In this case though the whole point is to hand it in at a station where AHM are in control so you'll just have to be very careful. :)

If you do Road To Riches in a ship with no cargo and no bounty on your head you shouldn't be bothered by anyone. I din't get interdicted by anyone other than Thargoids when I did it around Merope.

Aaaaarghh!!! Don't know what the fuck is up with me today. I seem to be going for the record of consecutive bounties on my head.

In Merope 5 at the HiRES - accidentally shot a cop who flew right in front of me. Ran like Hell to Celaeno to hide for 10 minutes.

At Celaeno thought I may as well spend a little time at the CNB earning credits. Managed to forget I had weapons live not KWS and shot someone before scanning him. Another 10 minute bounty. Ran like Hell to Pleiades Sector HR-W D1-79 to hide.

Went back to Merope, this time to Merope 1 and the HazRES there so I wouldn't risk hitting a cop. Did the same thing with weps and KWS and another 10 minute bounty!

I haven't even been drinking!

Think you need to buy those smart rounds that stop you from shooting other ships! I keep shooting just a split second before it scans them (pretty obvious they are wanted like as even the cops are blasting them!!!) and all the ships fkn turn on you.

Not seen a Thargoid in person yet. They are ok unless you shoot them aye? :D

Thargoids can be found in any system in or around the Pleiades. Just go looking for Unidentified Signal Sources Threat Level 5 or above.

Sit very still, don't scan them and whatever you do don't get too close. You'll be fine!

Edit: When you scan the USS it will show as Non Human Signal Source.
