Bet this thread didn't go as the OP imagined.
PS. learn to drive.
The thread went exactly as I expected to be honest.
My own fault but as I say sign is not clear and is 100mtrs from the actual start of the bus zone. The signage could be a whole lot better, but it wouldn't bring in the revenue it has generated if they did that.
Bullshit!

I recognise a bus lane sign when I see one.Bloke living in Oxfordshire with no experience of said sign and junction talking out of arse shocker.
Should hang your head in shame tbf.
Should also be an offence punishable by 3 pts not just a fine.

Just say you drove out of the bottom of glasgow road onto Edinburgh road as you cannot see the bus gate (whatever that is) sign from there.Just had a nice letter from the lovely people at south tyneside council stating I owe them £60.00 reduced to £30.00 if paid in 28 days.
I did the unthinkable crime of leaving the scotch estate Jarra via Edinburgh road.
Had the council put up a no access sign to all traffic apart from busses I would have understood what it meant. The sign they put up is ambiguous to say the least so I am expecting several more in the coming weeks.
Anyone else on here been caught out

It's a nightmare for the residents in stirling avenue now. Like a rat run in the mornings people trying to get off the estate onto the bottom of the john reid road. Then God help you if you are trying to get across 3 lanes to turn right for shields.Few lads at work have been captured and extorted. I don't understand the thinking behind it, iirc they are forcing traffic unnecessarily through a further residential area.
Good lad is lee.He got interviewed on the local tele news once on a bus to away game in Europe, they asked him how far he would travel to watch Newcastle, his response was 'I'd gan to the moon to watch the toon'

Why would I need to, there's a sign showing a bus lane ahead and an alternative route for other traffic.Clearly don't know the area.

Not rocket science is it?
they went to the trouble of writing a story but couldnt be arsed to go an get an actual photo of the junction, so used a google maps image and a stock photo of a traffic camera?Seems someone has already tried the inadequate signage mitigation. Didnt work for them either

If those thousands had a case it would be heard and they would get off.Well if you knew the area you'd know that you don't/won't see the sign depending on where you've been or are coming from. Obviously the thousands of people getting done, appealing and complaining to the paper means nothing and a spanner 250 miles away that has never been knows better.
