never a red card. Bamba went through Asoro which he attempted contact with ball missed and fouled yet no yellow? Clumsy but yellow easily if you use this sending off as a starting point. Wheres the consistency? The game is gone, ref's are clueless in this league and throughout the season every week they are getting even more horrific.
 


I thought it was a poor decision.
Got the ball first and momentum took him over the top.
I’m not defending N’Dong cos he was shite today but he was on the wrong end of a poor decision imo
 
I’ve just seen it and I believe it should have been given.

Yea he gets the ball however the way he comes over the top and into hoilletts shin is a leg breaker if planted,

You are spot on mate - he got the ball first. Never a red card, and at 1-0 we were still in the game, although the way we just gave in near the end was atrocious. That 4th goal !!
 
Thought it was harsh like but that’s the game now. They don’t want challenges/lunges like that that go down over the top of the ball and down into ankles/lower legs. I think it looked worse in real time as well so can understand why it was given, not that I really agree with it (in terms of changing the game to red card players winning the ball first).

What would VAR done? Studs up slide tackle into the opponent's shin. He was a bit unlucky in that his foot seemed to slide over the top of the ball, and there wasn't any intent, but that doesn't mean it was a clear and obvious error. It was just one of those that could have gone either way.
 
No intent but playing the ball with your studs up is dangerous play. Not saying it should be a foul but it is a foul. Can’t see it being rescinded.

He won the ball and his foot bounced off the ball into Hoilett's leg.

He didn't go in over the top.
 
Lazy lunge with the studs up. Not malicious intent just shite. Can't complain imo. Looked worse in real time as well mind.

Bamba's studs weren't raised. Surely you can see the difference?

Rule is “out of control” ... he needs to be able to help it...

Not a red for me but I think majority of the time a red will be given
