He did say that the trains are just too old and becoming unserviceable

Amazing how inept they are yet you are so reliant on it
poor management and planning over the years has caught up with them now, if they dont get govt funding very soon the whole thing is just gonna grind to a halt

Services not ran are recorded man you tiresome clown...

No they're not - not publicly anyway - they have a late record, but not number of services that did not run at all.

It was given the other week mate - still gonna be about 4 years for the trains to arrive mind!

So why wasn't the tender doc sent the day after the budget - why is this not happening until the middle of next year?

This mornings lovely journey included someone sitting down next to me then slumping over stinking of weed, train was too full so couldn't even get out to stand somewhere else. Cant wait until I don't have to use it anymore.
Should have gone through their pockets and nicked their stash.

Plenty of older trains on the network that are still in service and far more reliable.

The Pacer's that Northern Rail use are probably of a similar age and were very cheaply put together.. I use them most days and rarely have encountered a problem with them. Any delays are usually because of the crap Metro service on the shared line.

That indicates a level of ineptness from the people managing the Metro system...

The problems on the shared line (apart from actual trains) are Network Rail. there are just as many issues on the other Metro only line

Pacers were put together with commonly available parts, that was one of the things that made them so cheap. Metros are bespoke rolling stock, and have few common parts with other trains.
