Neither did Labour when they were in for 10 years.

The offer isn't short - it's what Nexus requested.

Nexus have had close enough to £1Bn in the last decade (including the latest money for new trains). Let that sink in.
Private company got a whack of that for their shareholders.

Like i said earlier i was is in South gosforth and car had -7.5C on thermometer
I worked in the car sheds there in pre metro days. It is a cold spot. The sheds are almost 90 years old and bloody cold to work in.

the Nexus bloke on the radio did say they had plans to change/redevelop the sheds but apparently trains have to sit outside as not enough space for them all.

I know, it was always the case even in the dmu days. Pre metro it could often take over two hours to travel from my home in South Shields to Gosforth on public transport. They don’t know they are born today even when things sre bad, they are better than that.
