Monkeyhouse? Nice fella.

You were only upset because you weren't doing the catering with your shit burgers and greasy chips.
Bede but he might have moved on to Monkeyhouse after my time. He also taught Classics but they were obviously subjects on the way out.

That's the fella, I'm sure he ran the Bridge Club at lunchtimes, too. Used to talk about the olden days more than we played Bridge, like!
Also, it was a great excuse to get a pass to the front of the dinner queue every lunchtime!

I can still remember my school motto but I'm not 100% sure on the translation.

Parvis Imbutus Tentarbis Grandia Tutus.

It's something like "If you achieve small things you will achieve big things greatly" which is a load of bollocks as Barney offered scholarships to anyone who looked half decent at rugby while taking the money from parents with dense kids.
did you play 3rd team like? ;)

As you say, he was a canny bloke. Pity I was a little shite.

You escaped HMYOI Barnard Castle too?!
i didn't escape, i thoroughly enjoyed it. miles better than my previous school. being half decent at rugby (and academics) is what got me there mind, wouldn't have been able to go otherwise. we've had this conversation before

... but get it wrong.

These scratters boil my piss.

Couple on today's A Place In The Sun. The woman (100% wadnt) kept saying how certain properties "ticked boxes ek-cetera" instead of "etcetera". She probably writes "ect" instead of "etc", as well.

General rule: Especially if you're on TV, don't try and look clever by using words that either aren't in your vocabulary or words that you don't know about.

There may be other examples of this practice, but I'm too upset about this assault on common sense & decency.

Mea Culpa Ben lad, Mea Culpa.

Ah yes.
Well when I formulate my spectacular flamboyant revenge, I'll make sure you're not there
