How long can Rafa last?

So just to be clear here, last season Rafa was crap because he only scraped promotion in a piss pot league that Sunderland were looking forward to playing in as they would win every week, now this season Rafa is crap because he only has us 15th with a absolutely horrific team that he has been forced to put together by lack of funds?

I have to say I find these threads strangely fascinating.

It would appear that the Mags who post on this form of social media believe they're more representative, of the Newcastle supporters, than those who post on their own Mag chat forums. They're meth-heads or idiots, apparently, and not to be taken seriously unlike those who seek out a Sunderland forum to post on ..... then they claim they believe it's unfair that people see them as deluded:lol:

Proper super fans man not deluded at all. The toon army :oops: would fall apart if not for the likes of fishy and the other deluded bellends holding the weight of being the greatest fans in the world on their shoulders.

Puffing out their chests on a Sunderland forum

I get the feeling some people on this board genuinely believe Rafa wanted to buy the likes of Joselu and that he wasn’t totally hamstrung by the money Ashley was prepared to give him.
He's in the same boat as 99% of managers throughout the world, do you think Grayson wanted to buy Vaughan, Steele etc etc....... or Moyes wanted to buy Lescott and Pienar, or (enter name) wanted to buy (enter name). I'm sure they would have all loved to have bought a Messi or Ronaldo.

Instead of moaning why dose he not get on with managing (being the world class manager he is).

The squad was complete relegation fodder according to the oracles on here so if we go down surely it’s par?

He has spent close to 100 million, why can't any Newcastle fan accept this?

I always believe in debating subjects with anyone, on here, who's polite and logical.

So allow me to ask a serious question that intrigues me.

Benitez has been at Newcastle for almost 2 years and has brought in a fair number of players. He gained promotion as champions and started well in the PL being 6th after 9 games. However, since that time there's been a series of poor results, with the same group of players, and Newcastle have dropped to 15th.

If this run continues, and Newcastle find themselves in a relegation place, would you blame Benitez in any way? And if Newcastle are relegated again would you place all of the blame on Ashley and totally absolve Benitez as many did the last time you dropped?

So if you lot get relegated will Coleman get the blame?

Careful mind Riv the cup draws on in a couple of hours, if the fish responds it'll all be over by the time you finish reading his response.

Aye Rafa never signs shite does he ? This the bloke who spent £120m at Napoli before transfer fees went mental and took them from 2nd to 5th ... Rafa

Yedlin :lol::lol::lol:
You just make shit up don't you.

You'd laugh if I claimed you said Coleman would guarantee you a play off spot, wouldn't you?

I think Newcastle/Brighton/huddersfield will be in trouble as Palace for me will climb out the bottom 3 in the coming games. I think if West Ham peddle Moyes they also have the quality to escape.

Of course.

He's come in knowing the squad & the circumstances and has, no doubt, assured the owner he's the man for the job.

If he fails to do what he's been brought in for then he'll have to take some of the blame.

So, would you care to answer my question or would you prefer to avoid it?

Newcastle get a virtual bye, in the 3rd round, and are then drawn at home to Woking in the 4th.

The takeover has still not been finalised and Ashley can see a weekend at Wembley on the horizon.

He remembers his sacred vow to the Nation that he'd stay until Newcastle won a trophy.

What should he do ;)

Tough one. I'll come back to you once the draws been made.

He's averaging 10/1 for the next manager to be sacked in the top flight, I thought he's odds would have been very short.

Seriously though - I reckon he'l still be here when Coleman is sacked or resigns.
Based on the average recent length of SAFC manager tenure, If make that end of this season.

Why would he be criticised for doing what is expected?
Sorry I forgot he didn't sign all the shite did he.

Did he really need to go out and pay £5m for another of our ex shite loan RBs ? Surely offering Anita a new contract would've been a better option as cover to the hopeless Yank

Rafa another £5m spunked away

So in three lines you went from he'd get the blame to some of the blame.

Why should he get any? He's not responsible for your start. He's not responsible for the squad that Moyes left you. He can't work miracles if Short doesn't bankroll him. The only differences between him and Rafa is he at least has a window to make things happen and a lot more games to do it in.
