Petrol prices 'set to ROCKET'

I think you've missed my point. Previous posters, in this thread, have suggested the fuel price increase is due to Brexit, albeit, it may be tongue in cheek.

The cost increases, on this occasion have not been influenced by Brexit, there is a much larger global economy at work, which has been more active in recent weeks due to other market forces.

Post Brexit, the relative value of the pound and whatever trade deals are negotiated will impact oil price. Just not this round of fuel increases.

Off topic.. Heard about Bifab? In bother it seems.

Isn't fuel the only thing that has been stopping inflation measurements from spiralling up? Hold on to your hats.

Absolutely, give it ten years and electricity will be no different to petrol or diesel. Never mind saving the planet, there’s taxes to be had, government can’t let slip by.

They'll have to stop you charging at home. Vat current 5% on domestic electricity.

Over £10 a gallon.

I can remember when it was 70p a gallon.

Still with all this competition it will keep the prices down for any type of fuel, electricity and gas, we were told.

Anybody still got shares when British gas was sold, or any energy company?

8 litres in a gallon I thought

Checked 4.54679 litres in a gallon

Round up to five, so that's about £7 a gallon.

Still a lot imo

Give or take.

It's still expensive. Especially if you are on a fixed income, which has not increased since 2010.

I know it's a different argument but this is why I am shocked cannabis and prostitution isn't legal
