PSG's Qatar owners and the richest bloke in China invested in France and Spain as its much easier to get CL football, the reality is in England you have 3 very strong sides in City, Utd and Chelsea and another 3 well financed sides in Spurs, Arsenal and the Kopites.

All these chinese owners who have bought into the league have hardly done a man city neither has our new owner or any of the Americans, 90% of new owners want a slice of the PL pie, not investing a billion in the guarantee of a regular top 4 finish which they would get in Italy, Spain etc.

I think this is brilliant news. With the right sort of investment we could return to the champions league in a couple of seasons. Had some great European trips in the past. Would love to see us play in Madrid/Paris/Munich.

Look man, we all thought the end was nigh when Hall took over. They won nowt despite millions spent. Some top nights in Europe, but zero trophies.

Then along came billionaire Ashley. "Shit" we all thought, this is it. Two relegations, no proper trophies and not even a Wembley apperance later, he is baling out albeit at a nice profit.

Who is to say the Chinese will do owt ? Worked well at Villa so far !!

It's about identity. You wouldn't understand.

We've lost it, that's my biggest gripe about the owner. Not the fact we are in the championship.

You are actively trying to sell your identity to win stuff.

Like I say - too big a point for a mag to understand I think
