What a come down that is
Too right mate. A waste of money was Mr .Carrack. He used the occasion to invite a load of his past it mates to play at the venue. The worst gig I've been to.
Been to loads of gigs and that is the only one that I rated as bad.

First is probably Ozzfest at Donnington in 2002 if that counts.

Last one Take That at Sheffield in May.

First (not including raves) - Paul Weller 1996 Whitley Bay Ice Rink

Most recent (not including festivals) - The Stone Rose June 2017 Leeds Arena

As a follow up to the recent first and last albums bought threads, what were folks first and most recent gigs.

The Jam at Newcastle City Hall 1978 first for me.
Shellac at Manchester Academy 2 last night the most recent

The Jam. You lucky man.

The Who at Newcastle Odeon 1973.
Paul Carrack at the London Palladium three years ago.

Was Keith Moon still alive?

I've seen them twice, but only in recent times.

1st: T.Rex 1971
Most recent: Gilbert O'Sullivan two weeks ago

T-Rex man. This thread is making me rather jealous.

Keith Moon was alive in 1973 - he died in 1978. The original, 4 man, Who were the best.

Few weeks ago I bought a Paul Carrack CD in Sainsbury's for £7.99. When I opened it up there were 5 discs in there.

Says it all. 90% is shit with a few songs I knew.

First: Michael Schenker Group: Newcastle City Hall 1982
Latest: Pretenders Newcastle City Hall AND Ruts DC/Anti-Nowhere League/Cockney Rejects at Northumbria University on the SAME night!!

First was Freddie Tribute Concert Wembley Stadium 1992
Latest was Lumineers in Newcastle September last year I think, f***ing hell over a year since I've been to a gig, I'm getting OLD as time.
I was there. That was a brilliant day with a great line up. It was Mick Ronson`s last appearance to when he performed with David Bowie and Ian Hunter.

Showaddywaddy empire 75ish ?
Stanley clarke Brudenell LEEDS few months back
WHAAAATTTT!!!!! How the hell did I miss that????? I may however be able to sooth my loss with an up coming interview with Bootsy Collins

If Mr Carrack wanted to he could put on a great show, the night I saw him he was too over indulgent and didn't play anything I wanted to hear.

The cult- Newcastle city hall, about 1987/88 I think. Gaye bykers on acid were the support group.

Sparks- boiler room last month

first pearl jam @ riverside newcastle

last dave hause at newcastle/northumbria/whichever uni (was supporting some fella who was in slipnot or some utter bellendery, was in turn supported by the most obnoxiously entitled self defined punk ive ever been nauseated by)

next, probably billy joel @ manc.
