1st Mansun at Newcastle Uni in 96/97, there's a recording on youtube

Most recent was the Afghan Whigs at Brooklyn Steel (look at me) a couple of weekends ago.

Next up, QOTSA at the MEN in a few weeks. Or maybe Mark Morriss, can't remember which is first

First - I've never been to a gig.

Second - I've never been to a gig.

Brand New at the - then - Carling Academy at Newcastle in Feb 2006, maybe 2007.

Last gig - Not including festivals, Alkaline Trio at the 02 Academy in Newcastle in 2010.

Maybe it was 2ManyDJs in 2011 though...

There’s only one band I’ve never seen that I’d like to see - Rilo Kiley. Permanent hiatus though.

First: Biffy Clyro at Newcastle Uni in 2006 I think.

Last: I'm counting Leeds Festival in August because I went on the Sunday purely for Eminem

Opened about the back end of 2005 iirc.
My first gig there Ian Brown in maybe January 2006

My dad was in a jazz group right throughout me growing up, so went to loads of theirs.

First 'proper' one was Judas Priest at City Hall when I was 12. Sharp grew out of that shite.

Most recent was Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali at The Sage, which was rather splendid.

Going to Nurse With Wound at The Sage next week.

As a follow up to the recent first and last albums bought threads, what were folks first and most recent gigs.

Bon jovi monsters of rock (now download) 80’s slippery when wet tour

Wasp, dio were on amongst others

Was really lucky for a first gig coz my mate knew the lighting pyro guy and we got free backstage passes and a room in the hotel with all the bands met most of them and had no idea who they all were lol

And in the days of no photographic evidence like we have today only memories bit of a shame really

Was truly mind blowing I thought all gigs were like that lol
