Improved significantly when Keegan took over at the back end of the season.

I think he will. He's a greedy fucker with an ego and he'll be waiting for an sos from a struggling club to be rewarded for keeping them up. Inflates his bank balance and ego. He'll know he's never getting a big job now and not sure he'll have energy to do a proper rebuilding job anywhere at his age.

Ironic, considering a lot of the praise heaped on Allardyce on here is due to exactly that.

I remember the thread on here when Hatem Ben Arfa suggested he could be the best in the world. I’m not sure that was a case of ‘nowt wrong with a bit of ambition’

I didn’t realise that there was such widespread praise of his Bolton career before he rocked up? More than he gets for rafagating us anyway.

Why wouldn't there be? He done a superb job at Bolton. He also kept us up at expense of the genius that is Rafa. I'd say Benitez had better players at his disposal than Sam as well.

So why the smilie and sarcy "took longer than I thought" despite you mentioning it first? I had no intention of bringing it up until you did as we were discussing players he'd got best out of.
