Benetez is a good proven manager.
We are not in the same league as them but time and time again our fans bring up threads about him when actually no one should care.

Let them get on with it and us support us.

He's a top manager Benitez and is now starting to show his worth at Newcastle. They are well drilled, good off set pieces in both boxes and will have no trouble this year. Like others I do see huge similarities in how him and Allardyce set their teams out.

who the fuck is comparing Allardyce and Moyes at Sunderland and doing so with a straight face?
Totally correct if Allardyce had still been here we wouldn't be in this mess. Sorted us out and we looked solid towards the end of the season.

You're answer is confusing my small brain you'd rather have Benitez but he wont do the same with us as Pardew did? And I'm not going through the 'rafagated' shite again
Rafas CV suggests he's a better manager than Pardew. If both applied for a job I'd take Rafa but that doesn't mean to say he'll do as well at your place as Pardew did.
I'd rather have Rafa than Peter Reid if given choice but I don't think he'd get us as far as reidy did.
He did relegate you's as well and there's no need to get into again as it clearly happened. He's done as much as could since doing so though.

Ahh classic one that, keep if up & you'll end up on comedy central :D

Pardew or Benitez who would you rather have managing you're team..
Thh with the budget available I wouldn't care, if you had an unlimited budget then Benitez all day long as I think because he has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world then he would attract the better player and they would want to play for him but he's not some miracle worker you lot like to think he is

Okay bonny lad. Let's have a look at his "Britishness"

2006 - Allardyce and his son Craig were implicated in a BBC Panorama documentary for taking bungs.

2013 - Allardyce receives “substantial” damages from former Blackburn Rovers Steve Kean who said Allardyce had been sacked from his post at Rovers because he was “a crook”.

2013 - Named as investor in a £250m tax scam involving a fake film company

2017 - Sam Allardyce booted out his "dream job" after chasing freelance work straight after he's appointed, advocating shady practices to "get away with" third party ownership and ripping the piss out of Roy Hodgson

The less said about recommending Djilobodji the better, the bloke is a chancer
Was sam doing GUILTY of taking bungs?
Sam WON a damages case against Kean who called him a crook.
His greed got better of him with England job but still don't think it warranted the sack. Can't have too much sympathy for him though.
Jobs he's done at Bolton, Blackburn, West Ham, Sunderland and Crystal Palace have all been relatively successful. Even the mags were mid table which wasn't exactly disastrous before they ridiculously sacked him.

He's a very pragmatic manager he will go long with the ball wait for his counter attacks. He will just sit back wait for the counter and set pieces.

Wasnt that the way allardyce had the mags set up, yet the mags didn't take to him for that style of football.

Now why was that, football fans are very fickle
Benitez works well with what he's got. We're never gonna play attractive football with that squad, and until we get a number 10 it's going to be quite boring and predictable. But the objective this season is to pick up points in whatever fashion

It's indisputable that Benitez was in charge when we went down. Equally, though, he got the likes of Sissoko, Winjaldum, Townsend and that Dutch bloke who's name I've forgotten playing well enough to raise big money whilst reducing the salary overheads.

I know hes not a miracle worker, but hes brung hope & desire to a club/city thats had none for a heck of a long time. Honestly the whole place feels galvanised.

You may have had it under Sam i dont know, definitely under Reid I'd presume. For all the hatred surely we just want to have the best for both our teams? Benitez has brung hope you cant begrudge that.

I agree 100 percent I think he's a very good manager but I also think big Sam is .

But what I can't get my head around is that some of your fans won't admit it

Sissoko got his move on back of playing we'll for France. Wijnaldum had done well prior to Rafa arriving. He got Townsend going mind.

CHRIST ALMIGHTY FOR ALL THE MAGS ON HERE I'M NOT PUTTING BENITEZ IN THE SAME BRACKET AS BIG SAM IN THE SENSE OF TROPHIES WON.
I'M JUST QOUTING JAMIE CARRAGHER WHO KNOWS BENITEZ MORE THAN ANY ONE ON HERE.

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH I THINK BENITEZ IS A GOOD MANAGER BUT HIS PHILOSOPHY ON FOOTBALL ISN'T THAT DIFFERENT TO SAM

IT'S JUST SAM HAS NEVER HAD THAT CALIBRE OF PLAYER BENITEZ HAS HAD OVER THE YEARS AND IF HE HAD I THINK HE WOULD HAVE WON A TROPHY OR 2

lol ‘QOUTING’

There’s a reason Allardyce has never got a top job btw. And it’s not the reason he keeps peddling.

Yes, he's entirely innocent, unbelievable bad luck to find himself in these situations
