Correct. It goes beyond self defence when he's chasing after the lads to get fired back in wheh they are trying to get away. He's going to be in bother I'm afraid and the Ashes without stokes isn't even worth contemplating.

If someone tries to glass you then is fully justified in my opinion
 
For the record. Bristol is full of ***** tough guys. You could pull video footage like that from almost any CCTV camera.

it's a grey area like, self defense.

as you say, the only time you know they're not going to run up and glass you from behind is if they're on the deck.

mind you, you have to draw the line somewhere. otherwise you might as well say he might come after me tomorrow so I had to kill him.

I think this video shows it goes above and beyond, but you never really know without audio - the bloke stokes is after might have been threatening him continuously. end of the day if this isn't on video it blows over, if it is two no marks it's probably nothing either.

I'm not remotely violent but if someone tries to glass you, then you have to finish it in my opinion

They got what they deserved

He should ever ever be in this scenario but that's a different point

I think it would be a big big mistake by the ECB to hang him out to dry

Yeah I mean bailed but then with this evidence it would mean instant progression of the case. He should be sent down TBH. You would. I would.

That video was released at 10 last night by a newspaper

It's now 8.04am

This theory you have about him getting favors is nonsense
