Totally without a f***ing clue, needs sacking asap

Load of shite, another manager with a decent record who comes to SAFC and struggles.....When are you gonna get it through your thick skull that the managers are not the problem? To keep claiming they are simply gives the real culprit another get out of jail free card.

1 win out of 9, he's shite, total and utter shite

Do you see safc winning two games before Christmas?

Do you see a manager, that the players are taking the slightest bit notice of?

I love Sunderland but this period of history I could be totally done with them until they get there house in order. It’s going to take a few years to fix this mess...

I watched us fall apart under Mackemenemy. I stood in disbelief and almost in tears in an almost emptied ground after the relegation playoff v Gillingham. I went to all the home games in the old third division. The relegation was awful, but I thoroughly enjoyed the third division.

I've never felt so disconnected from SAFC. I cared back then, and no matter how crap we were, I cheered the lads on. You can explain it, but people don't get it- this is the lowest I've ever felt about the club. It has never been worse in my lifetime, and that's 51 years. It's not the club I fell in love with.

Why is that? Maybe because expectations are so much higher now. Maybe because we were on the cusp of being a good PL side for the first time since Reid. Maybe because of the shocking attitude of some of our players. Maybe because of the club's awful mismanagement. Maybe because the future looks dreadful, financially and football wise.

It's probably all of the above, I can't put my finger on exactly why, but this hurts more than the Mackemenemy era for me. A lot more.

This is the lowest point the club has been at in its history. At least you had a shred of hope then.

To think there were fans on here defending and actually going as far as applauding the appointment at the time  absolute mugs.

They'll be the same ones encouraging the club to give him more time despite the facts and shit show performances staring them directly in their eyeballs.

He seems a canny fella and probably has jumped at the chance at this job also he’s probably been lied to by Short and Bain about the funds he would get, it’s looking like he’s way out of his depth

The oldies will be along to tell you that things were much worse under McMenemy. The fact is, we've been dog shit for 5 years now, we've been in constant relegation battles and have had zero respite. This is the worst football this club has endured. We've scored the least number of goals in this period and celebrated the least number of wins. Those pretending things have been worse are wrong.

What record? Have you seen his tactics man! 'Long ball game' doesn't even come into the equation. Vaughan gets the ball rammed down his throat 40 yards from goal from the keeper or defenders and the rest stand and watch. Genius.
