Think friday was all about not losing. 11 on the pitch knew what they were doing and he didnt upset the rhythm.mind you good job nugent is about 100

Must be on a massive 2 match unbeaten run as the positivity has returned on here. Let's hope we don't lose any to jeopardise this - 8 or 10 points out of the next 12 - including three away trips and we'll be flying

I like Grayson a lot but some of the posts on this thread are very premature, especially when the very same posters will hold a markedly different opinion if we lose in Sunday (which I unfortunately expect us to do).

Has an impossible task. That team won't be good enough for promotion but if he can secure a top half finish, give us time to find a new owner/ clear some debt id be happy.

We need a long term strategy, but in the meantime I have so far enjoyed watching a team, who whilst not hvaing much quality, seem to be trying and giving a shit. Which is rare given the past 5 seasons has been mecinary after mecinary.

This team is easily good enough for promotion.

Early days, let's not get carried away.

Not convinced this 442 is going to work against the stronger sides in the league. It's far too reliant on Cattermole playing every week.

Couldn't agree more, he's a man manager, can work on a shoestring, I still think he has a small stash of cash, I think if he has us there or thereabouts by January, short will inject bigger funds like he did with Keane, to get us over the line

I reckon he has about 10-15m in his purse
We've spent £1.25m by mid August though, think it's a bit of a stretch to think we'll spend another £10-15m

I like the performances he is getting out of the bang average players. Look at Gibson and Mathews under Moyes and under Grayson.

Says it how he sees it. Doesn't whine about what he doesn't have. Tries to get everyone working together and to the best of their ability.

In our current situation this has got to be the best remedy imo. Will be a bumpy 1st season for him but hopefully a settled and well drilled side by January 'might' see Short take a punt and invest for a push for the play offs :D

It's almost impossible to achieve anything by being negative and looking at a 'half empty' glass which is the outlook of too many posters on here. Luckily for SAFC, it's someone with a 'half full glass' that is trying to stop the decline and turn the club around. He's the 1st manager in years who I think will actually get a 2nd season to try and build:lol::lol:
