So McNulty has done his Premier league predictions for this season and predictably he has Brighton and Huddersfield in the bottom two positions, difficult to argue with that as its normally a struggle for newly promoted sides....Unless of course you're called Newcastle.

McNulty apparently thinks they will finish 11th, ahead of West Brom, Stoke, Southampton, Palace, Swansea, Watford and Burnley.

Now, if they had gone on some massive summer recruitment drive I could get that but their front line is complete shite and is largely the same players that couldnt score when they were relegated plus a lad they signed who couldnt get in Palace side.

Where do these weird predictions come from? How will they suddenly be massively better in the league than a team they only pipped to the Championship by a couple of points? Why would anybody think they are likely to finish above seasoned Premiership teams like Southampton, Stoke etc? Is this because of the fat Spanish waiter effect (conveniently forgetting the last time he managed them in this division he took them backwards and down).

It's not that outlandish to think the Mags will do better than Brighton and Huddersfield you pillock :D They've spent about 20x more over the last 12 months for starters...

And as for 11th, I think it's a stretch but anyone between 17th and 9th is a f***ing toss up based on who wins in the last few weeks of the season.

Scared of pissing off their fans. Plus they have a lot of supporters in the media, we on the other hand do not.

Other than Micky Gray, David Jones and Quinny, who's on our side? Even Quinn tries to remain as impartial as he possibly can.

Before you start calling someone a pillock you might actually develop a reading age above that of a 6 year old...I clearly stated that you couldnt argue that Brighton and Huddersfield were rightly and predictably in the bottom two. Lets try again once mummy or daddy have time to read the post to you and help you understand it.

I listened to a bit of TalkSport on Sunday on a long journey back from Southampton and 2 presenters whose names escape me gave out their predicted final table. One of them had them somewhere around 11-14, I forget where exactly. The other one, an Irish bloke, had them relegated.

They'll struggle and have a chance of coming straight back down imo. As it stands they have a weaker squad than the one that was relegated so really don't understand how any one thinks this season will be any different for them. Hopefully Spurs slap them silly first game of the season and they never recover.

Fair. Rest of your post is bollocks though. I think the Mags will be in exactly that group of teams and will have spent more than almost all of them.

it seems to me as if they are taking a punt, nothing more, the premiership will set itself right in may, but most of the time stuff like this is just for clicks or in the press, newspaper columns

They wont get 20 points with present squad IMHO.
Ritchie is canny but the rest of them are Championship standard and will be in the bottom 5 for most of the season.

Ah, now, it's not what I hope happens...

I think there's a solid chance Rafa is gone by November. Said it loads in the breaking point thread, but he's f***ing their fans about trying to make out he's been hard done by after spending £80m over 12 months and now wanting what... £30-£50m more? Guy is being exposed as a conman and even better, he's starting to turn them back into the comedy clurrrrb where they turn on each other. Potential for that to go wrong is so big.

I think they'll stay up, but I said that last time they went down. I still don't understand how they went down with that team. Players like Wjinaldum, Mitrovic, Townsend etc should be enough to guarantee avoiding the bottom 3.

Bad management imo. Pardew did a better job than "Wor Rafa".

You currently have a weaker squad than any team in the Prem bar Brighton, Huddersfield and "maybe" Burnley & Watford on paper.

Still well behind the likes of Southampton, West Brom and Stoke.

You "could" finish 11th, however on paper I'd be predicting between 15-20th

Maybe he thinks they'll buy a decent centre forward before the window shuts. 11th seems a little generous. Most of the ones I've seen range from 13th to 18th.
I think they just call it how they see it tone honest but I can't see them finishing above all the teams you've listed.
