I'm not going to bite as such. Here's something well placed though.

Newcastle United may mock Sunderland for their financial plight, well done, bravo, can't fault you we are as they put it 'truly fucked'

However they are currently in open warfare with their own chairman for refusing to spunk money into a club with more or less the same catchment, appeal, relegated more recently, albeit with what they would call a decent manager.

So my question to you Newcastle fans (and there are many on this message board)

Why the double standard? What do you want to see?

@Boo Boy

eh??

Thoughts?

Not very bright are you.

You quote an article saying our gross debt is 4th highest yes were in shit.

But go and look at your own accounts bonny lad.

Nufc net debt at 110m in the Premiership
Ashley borrowed 30m more against the club in December 2016

More debt vs reduced turnover equals higher net debt.

Dont worry though Manquillo is 4.5m well spent

Hehe, what is going on here then? I'm all for a bit of friendly rivalry but this is just pathetic. Get in!!! Sunderland are in financial trouble!! - and? I'm guessing most Newcastle fans are like myself, we go to work, end of the week we like to watch a bit football, why anyone would get enjoyment out of this boggles the mind.

Then again, if shitty, debt riddled Sunderland hammered you for the last god knows how many times, I guess clutching at straws is the best you can hope for.

Thoughts?

Of course the real irony is that Newcastle have utterly lambasted Ashley for failing to chase the dream, have had season after season of "Cockney Mafia Out" campaigns, have even held mock funerals for the club........They were desperate for Ashley to spunk mega millions on their club and have savaged him for turning around the basket case of a club he bought into that owed hundreds of millions and turn it into a profit making concern.....

The idea that they are now turning round and taking the moral high ground in turn of finances is absolutely hilarious given they were ready to lynch their chairman for not doing exactly what Short did....Newcastle has recovered financially despite them not because of them. Thick as bulls lugs the lot of them.

So, lets add a few facts to this.

In 2007 Ashley bought the Scum for £134 million......He then paid £110 million out of his own pocket to REDUCE the debt but as I understand it they are still £129 million in debt and the Mags constantly hammer him for the appalling state of their finances. Those in glass houses and all that.

meh,it's a thread aboot sunderland....10 page max i recon....if you wanna hit the 200 page jackpot you will have to make it about 'the mags'

It's all people have spoke about for 2 months man, you posted a mag article about Safc in a snide manner as a few of your lot on here like to do.

Us beating them virtually every time we play them has utterly f***ing destroyed them. Its superb

If managed correctly we can ourselves out of this mess.
IF we achieve promotion this season or next the debt will rapidly reduce as I don't expect us to invest heavily.
Over to you Mr Grayson.

I agree with that. I also see the M@gs struggling with what they've bought so far, so they shouldn't be too smug just yet.
