Why is a Newcastle fanzine doing an article on Sunderland's finances :lol:

Well they could talk about their recent derby wins over a terribly run club couldnt they?.... oh wait a minute!

On another note do our fans infest their boards like they do on here?

Tbf a few of the replies on the article were from sensible mags (fuck knows where they found them from like). Basically saying they were in as much debt as us and not to try and act so smug.

It's not a terribly promising report although people with money somehow manage to get themselves out of the debt they've accrued so perhaps it's not all doom and gloom.

If you did fold, what could you see happening?

How many of you would start going up to Newcastle or down to Middlesbrough to watch top flight/second tier football?

If Shields continue to rise through the leagues perhaps they could take over the SOL. Who would start following them? Who would sack football off for good?

I would think a bit if I were you, after all they do say "what goes around comes around " . You always seem to manage to outdo us in the embarrassment stakes .

I'm not going to bite as such. Here's something well placed though.

Newcastle United may mock Sunderland for their financial plight, well done, bravo, can't fault you we are as they put it 'truly fucked'

However they are currently in open warfare with their own chairman for refusing to spunk money into a club with more or less the same catchment, appeal, relegated more recently, albeit with what they would call a decent manager.

So my question to you Newcastle fans (and there are many on this message board)

Why the double standard? What do you want to see?

@Boo Boy
They actually have the biggest catchment area in the country when you look at it....runs all the way past here North Northumberland into the borders..into County Durham and the Dales and you could argue out towards Hexham Corbridge and the like....its huge..and some of the towns are a canny size...when you add that since 1992 people seem to have sprung up in the Collieries of the east coast supporting them then its a huge area/population.

Dont mention this to them mind(they hate it) as some like to think they are the only passionate fans in the country and have a special loyalty!

Well what would you do?

I'd not bother with any football if we folded as I'm too partisan. Some people would go to watch other sides play as they just like going to games.

Far too hypothetical to comment on . At this moment in time I am more concerned with the here and now .
