Live streaming platform unveiled for global EFL fans...

Last time we were in the champo, the football league signed a collective website deal where every clubs website was made by the same company and had the same layout format. We were one of only a few clubs to opt out as we'd just come down from the prem and already had an established website.

Think this might be something similar in that we can probably add it onto the Safsee platform somehow. Obviously for exiles only mind.

Could be wrong but what they're saying is basically we aren't using the generic iFollow thing but can still stream them from our own website, which makes sense since we already have our own established website. Wouldn't read anything into it yet

Without sounding thick, but what happens if there are a number of teams not signed up, when a signed up team plays one of them? Can that game then not be showed? So the signed up teams won't get to watch all their games?

Unfortunately, while the club have the option of streaming them via their own website, I don't think they will.

The way they are probably looking at it is that they'll think it'll damage attendances as even though the service is just for exiles, there's a 100% chance that streams of our games will end up online for anyone to view.

It would be a fantastic addition, especially with so many games this season and many midweek, as plenty of fans will miss some this season due to other commitments.

Does anyone know a direct contact at the club that we can start to annoy about this? I don't know if it will be any good but at least if they start to see a lot of interest it may help?

It can be showed, aye. So if a team is playing us at the Stadium of Light and are signed up, their fans will still be able to stream the game legally.

The good news for us is that it also means it is likely that a stream for said game will end up somewhere online in the usual places, but the bad news is that only a handful of Championship teams have actually signed up to date so it won't happen often.

Iirc a championship game or two were streamed every weekend, add in this new thing n legitimate sky games and a high % may be available.

Surely nagging the club (if youre not based abroad) will convince them even more that the service will be intercepted.

pathetic of our club if we aren't registered
Why? As an expat I would love it but there must be reasons for not signing up. Perhaps the fear that they will lose a couple of thousand off the gate due to streams in the UK whereas they only receive a relatively small payment.

they had 40000 every game last year whilst propping up the table and serving up a pile of shit on the pitch whilst every single game was available to be streamed ?

32,000 st holders signed up before a ball was kicked. Many didnt attend last 4-5 games. Talk of half that renewed at present.

not attending the last 5 games had nowt to do with streaming man , we were relegated.

I know that, Im saying take away premiership status n build in the current chaos n we currently have about half the st holders we did then. Were gonna be nowhere near 40k most weeks and even less so if theyre all watchable online.

Will this be a season card streaming thingy or available on a match-to-match basis as well ? Plenty of Championship games (including 3pm Saturday kick offs) are shown live on the telly here in DK and if say a third / fourth of our matches are shown anyway it would be nice to have the match-to-match option on iFollow or the club website, too and not just the full season thingy.

Norwich prices: £110 if abroad for full season streaming. £4.78 a match. Id pay that back here to save a load of pissing on.

You're in a decent position whatever happens. 60% of the teams in the champ have signed up (should be able to get a stream somewhere) and the remaining teams are largely big team so higher chance of sky picking up your matches with them anyway.

It's £110 regardless of club you follow. Same price if you're us or Yeovil Town.

Success breeds attendance. Start winning games and people will choose to pay and attend instead of shopping on a Saturday or streaming the game online.

As an expat I am going to be pissed if we had this option as a club and didn't take it. Talk about pissing off your own fans. Last time we went down there was the silly radio streaming thing we weren't part of, now this. I can't wait until there are some actual professional people running the club at all levels...
