Yes they did you massive big fibber.

"Howe said of Ritchie’s departure: “We weren’t happy to let him go - Matt’s an outstanding player.

“But the reality is that we just couldn’t compete with Newcastle’s finances and Matty expressed a desire to leave.

“I’ll make it clear there was no ill feeling between us, just a lot of mutual respect; the fact that he’d done well for us and hopefully we’ve done well for him.

“We all wish him well in his new career at Newcastle.”"

Couldn't compete with newcastles finances  they went and spent more on his replacement

I think they just binned him cos he wasn't great in the premier league. Can't remember him doing much apart from score against us

Bournemouth didn't fancy him
Howe "We fancied him"
Wasn't great in the Premier League
First team regular, 4 goals & 6 assists for Bournemouth, and a player that the manager didn't want to lose.

"Wasn't great" is a useful phrase though, it gives you wiggle room, so unless hed scored double figures and had loads of assists you can claim that's not great. But being good enough for the Premier League is what we're talking about, not being great in the Premier League.

It's just churlish to say Ritchie isn't good enough for the Premier League.

He's an ok bottom 6 player

Atsu the Rafalution is underway :lol::lol::lol:

Didn't you have a similar reaction to when we signed Murphy?
What Murphy the decent Championship forward ? Aye Rafa training made him score 4 or 5 goals

Atsu couldn't even get a game at Bournemouth after promotion some player no doubt a game changer like Yedlin

Aye, but you think Anichebe is a better option on the wing than Matt Ritchie.

I would have been talking about the way we play. We played long balls and had no outlet, Anichebe give us that presence something Ritchie wouldn't, so yes i would rather have a fit (being key) Anichebe.

In a team that plays a bit, then obviously Richie is the better footballer, i actually rate him.

Atsu though, with wages and fee's etc, it's probably £10m of your budget gone and you've not improved your team one bit.

Game changer Yedlin, that was one of the best lines i think i've ever read from a Mag

Murphy did the job for which he was signed and as such can be counted a good signing. It's only your red & white specs that stop you from admitting that.

I think some of the people are just upset on here cos we've had a loan player from Chelsea that's turned out to be a good signing and they can't get over having their pocket picked for Djilobodji

Where did I say he didn't ? Let's get back to Atsu for almost £7m though :p #Rafalution

If this is the calibre of players they're going after then they are in big f***ing trouble!

He will be a better squad player than Gouffran....1 in 1 out is system needed

He wasn't a regular starter so won't be in the premier league, decent cover from the bench to bring on though

I'd prefer to talk about Rodwell for 10m :lol:

£10m - £6.2m leaves £3.8m. Do you really think his signing-on fee and his annual wage will make up £3.8m?

Gouffran is on his way out and we've added a player. I'm not sure how that isn't an improvement?

I agree he will be a bit part player so it's nothing to get too excited about, I also agree he is better than gouffran.

However, I raise your 10m rodwell to a 13m mitrovic.

Lots of passion but he's absolutely shite
