Totally agree, contrast yourself to us even though we'd suffered relegation the club was filled with more positivity and hope than it had Been the last 7 years everyone was on side

There's absolutely no positives you can take from this at the moment and to go back up you need positivity flowing from top to bottom
Only +ve I can see is that when we get to play the mags again the press are going to be saying something like " it's been (insert large number) years since Newcastle last won a derby"

Bolton
Bradford
Sheffield united
Sheffield Wednesday
Norwich
Pompey
Barnsley
Swindon
Villa
Birmingham

The list goes on

it certainly does, which is why i think, automatically thinking we will get promoted again, after this current season is over, with the team we have is certainly a little over positive and hardly realistic, considering most will no doubt be sold off, or loaned out, and we will most likely start with who can't be got rid of, and youth players..

Yep and we both forgot derby and forest

Yep and we both forgot derby and forest

both being the biggest example of big clubs historically, going down, and not returning derby having been down almost 10 years now, and i think forest was may 1999 when they got relegated ?

Moyes is still going to be a negative manager in the championship. You don't win loads of matches with his sort of tactics.

That's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things though isn't it

Yep 19 years since forest have been a prem league team
14 for Leeds
17 for sheff wed

Well at least it'll be cheaper to go to Brentford than Chelsea down here.

(mind you the last time I went, we lost...)

Will it? There's a £30 cap on away tickets in the premier league which doesn't apply in the championship.

You must be using a different crystal ball to me.

Looking forward to hearing what Shorty plans are for the future, hopefully they don't involve him or Moyse. Bottom line is we are in mega debt, and continuing to loose money. We have a poor over paid squad (even taking relegation cuts into account), best we can hope for is a bit of stability next season, with a promotion push the following year. If we are not back in the PL within the three year parachute period, we could be in the wilderness for years. Massively important close season coming up.
Being out of the prem is not being 'in the wilderness'

A club of your size??

There's bigger clubs in the championship

Ah so it starts the pub league will be tough....6 weeks ago it was a pub league that safc would piss easy

So funny to see people tunes change dramatically now
You saw a post by me? Thought not ... It's only ever easy for Rafa the bestest manager in the World.:oops::lol:

As one of those from up the road I wouldn't say that we (or Brighton) were dominant. We have decent first 11 with enough filling to make it back up. But next season...?

I'd agree with the crowds...

And don't overestimate the the standard of refereeing, it is truly awful
Our net spend is comfortably mid table.

The bottom 10 of the championship currently includes 7 former premier league sides, Wigan and Blackburn are in relegation spots. That will be us soon.
Hope not marra. It's crucial to get the right manager. If we do that with our home support and a team of triers we'll be a match for anybody in the Pub League.

So pleased they didnt survive as Moyes would have surrended to the twats twice this season. Look a boro ffs.
