Wouldn't suprise me if Huddersfield pip us to 2nd now. We've played shit most of this year just trying to grind out result after result, top of the league we should be going out with confidence and looking to play good attacking football. Didn't help with us not getting another player or two in January as without Gayle we never did look like scoring.

Played our best football against Leeds last week and he goes and makes 4 changes???

Oh dear, it didn't happen then. Now shall we talk about SAFC and Moyes? It is a Sunderland forum after all.

We are that much of a popular and busy forum, we can talk about loads of clubs. We constantly laugh at you lot, though and always will.
If you want to talk about SAFC and Moyes, there are plenty of threads. This one is for mocking your shit club and fat, useless, latest messiah.

We did play well against Leeds, awful today though. Are sunderland fans allowed to mock other fans? You know, being bottom of the league and all that?

It is, so why have you signed yourself up? Why not stick to your own team since they got beat off Ipswich Town today? Got nowt better to do with your time?

Gerrin, clear end of the season implosion

Seven points off the title and now six points off the playoffs, the wheels are falling off the rafa wagon right at the f***ing end, despite £50 million spent!:lol::lol:

You have said that for a while, but you seem to have a bit of tunnel vision as Huddersfield gained 2 extra points with a contentious 96th minute penalty just 3 days ago. Huddersfield gained 4 points on them on Good Friday with 2 games in their respective games coming in the 96th and 95th minute - had those not happened it would have been pretty much over.
I had already switched off as I thought Huddersfield had blown it. Or rather they had two exceptional goals scored against them. But it is the Championship at times. Low standard negative football and then an exceptional goal against the run of play. Doesn't do the home records any favours. Ipswich, Preston NE and Barnsley are three of the worst teams for doing it.

Honestly don't think £50m is that much these days, I don't think he's bought that well tbh and has a bizarre faith in average players like Dummett and Lascelles.

Still, could be a lot worse and we could be a Villa or Norwich. Villa have spent more than us and somehow have gotten worse.

Saw some stat that only 11 of the last 39 teams relegated made an immediate return.

Either way, cracking away days and cheaper tickets, more games and more wins aside, it's a f***ing horrible league and if we could win every game 1-0 I'd be f***ing delighted.

The Championship...It's like a shit one night stand, you get in, get out and pretend you enjoyed it and hope you never have to shag it again.

Well done to Brighton for today by the way, hopefully you can secure the title on Friday on Sky.

Thanks: when we went down in 1983, we, and the players, thought they could of go straight back up. But it took 34 years.

But the old Goldstone Ground was never suitable for top flight football. It creaked with Division 3 crowds.

Forest 17 years. Leeds 12. Wednesday 17. Ipswich 16.

£50 million seems cheap to go straight back up before the parachute payments run out.

Huddersfield 44 years Average crowds 20,251 (cheap)
Brentford 70 years 10,306 (low capacity)

Both clubs likely/possible contenders next season
