Ten German Bombers

There's some brilliant videos of it being sang by thousands of England fans at the World Cup in Germany in 2006

Best supporters in the world

Whatever you think about England fans chanting about shooting down bombers, I don't think the Germans would be in any position to sing about the Blitz, seen as it was a war sparked by Nazi expansion and aggression.

Never mind any position, I sincerely doubt a majority of them would want to.

Highly doubt you'll ever meet a German or anybody that is 'offended' or upset by this. Most will probably just feel a bit of pity because it's pretty sad and embarrassing.

It's common nowerdays to group any form of negative opinion about something as being 'offended'.
That's cheered my day up marra. Thanks very much. :)

They'll get what they deserve next summer when a few hundred of them have the s**t kicked out of them by 20 Russians

Pathetic and embarrassing.
I'd expect nothing less from a nation of loud-mouthed, offensive yobs.

I think the banter excuse is a bit overused and lame. A bunch of drunk England fans singing stupid songs about WWII is pretty childish. If you want to alienate people, fine, go home and do that to your neighbors but don't make the football community come to the conclusion that we're just a bunch of mindless, witless idiots. Its 2017 man, not f***ing 1947. move on

Roll out the barrel of laughs you like

I see that the England football fans are getting a bit of stick again by the press saying .....that it's seventy years ago and that's not what the veterans would have wanted.

What a load of bullshit. It was good against evil and the press are ok to bring four page commemorative inserts out about various commemorative services here, there and everywhere still making money out of the wars. The veterans would love it especially the ones that got killed not knowing the outcome of WW2

Ten Germans Bombers is sang mostly in jest but in my opinion that jest can go on for a thousand years.

We'll not be able to mention the wars at all next.

What is it f***ing coming to?

Personally I think it's cringeworthy people use a frivolous event like a friendly football match, to mock supporters using a serious historical event that killed millions of innocent people.
My both grandfathers served the British army during ww2 and neither came back celebratory. Probably were suffering from ptsd when I look back now.
