But if we did all buy memberships and go to all of the T20s, that would help. An extra couple of thousand on the gate would be good. There's nothing stopping anyone really.

It would. But it's papering over the cracks.

County memberships nationally are poor.

And I won't have some smug prick on the internet tell me that it's my fault that Durham are in trouble financially

Sunderland get average thick end of 45k a week and are in debt £150mln.

Mostly from their armchairs, that's why they are skint.

Glory hunter, like the South Northumberland lot.

How are South Northumberland glory hunters? They are hosting a game not suddenly becoming a first class county for the day

And if you hadnt realised the financial deficits at Durham were not as a result of people not turning for CC matches or T20 matches. Its due to the draconian rules put in place by the ECB (and then TCCB) to ensure a new county wouldnt be too successful and prove the old boys wrong.

We get the fact you dont like SNCC but it will be Durham playing there. If you dont want to support Durham then jog on and watch tiddly winks, otherwise just dont go to the match but let others who want go and enjoy the cricket for Durhams benefit. Your opinion is tiresome and quite frankly pointless and contradictory. On one hand you are saying f$*k South Northumberland but then the next saying its because people dont turn up and watch which is precisely the reason for going to South Northumberland in the first place.

I've never seen more than 3000 at the Riverside for a T20. Double that and we've got an extra 350K every year at least. There has to be a better way to market these games.

Played Notts on fathers day in around 09 or 10 and there wasva superb crowd in on a warm, sunny afternoon. Never seen anything close to that since

2010. They dished out loads of free tickets to various companies with vouchers for a free pint, Thats the biggest crowd I have seen at the Riverside for a domestic match.

Bastards. I paid full price then found some twat in me seat who had a duplicate ticket
Good game iirc correctly. Remember watching Pokedancer (god rest his soul) abusing Patel and a very dubious catch in front of members balcony

Hampshire used to play a week in Dorset (Bournemouth) before they moved to the Rose Bowl. The Bournemouth ground was better than the county one at Northlands Road.

I think the ticket prices are too high. For me, the first thing the club should do is make T20 tickets a tenner. With kids £5 or even a quid, because once people are in, they'll spend.

Might all be a moot point because FTECB probably set a minimum, but I think the club would get a lot of goodwill from the community if tickets were much more affordable for all formats.
