I've met some truly mad Sunderland supporters .....

Quite an imagination you have for someone with such obviously limited intelligence.

Typical of those sad friendless 'stay at home' dullards who would never dare say a word to anyone's face.

Firing off insults, from an aged PC in your poor mam's back bedroom, is your level

:D sad old man !

Quite something coming from a Mag who comes on pretending to be a Sunderland supporter ...... quite the little hypocrite.

Is that the only retort you have ? Poor owld bugger !! Have a sit down and finish off your Sudoku.

Aye Porky did a good line in checks Bens and Fred Perrys.
West One aye f***ing hell,City Stylish and Halon were main stream for skins.
Jacksons or Burtons for your Tonic or PoW suits

Picture this :
Saturday morning of home game around 1970
Men's shop in Crowtree Rd (?)
"do you have a Ben Sherman Green/white check 15.5" collar?"
Let me have a look she says...........unfortunately not ....only the brown or blue
"nah it was a green & white one I was wanting"
Oh she says.........we do have a 16" in green and white and they tend to be a tighter fit !!!!!!!

In fits of laughter reading some posts on this tedious attention seeking thread. In my experience anyone related to football hooliganism are sewer rats like little cowards - can imagine this Reiver fella running about with his pot little belly and chav like tattoos, seriously grow up. If you're supposed hard men get yourselves in the ring lets see if you can get past an authoritative jab. Bunch of clowns.
" In your experience ?". The fact is, you have no experience.
You've been on here before though insulting all and sundry. Enjoy your next ban.

I'm speaking the truth - anyone who mentions football hooliganism are sewer rats.

I think I'll just stick to this thread for now, it's the only one worth reading at the minute.

It's been quite revealing, like reading something from Catherine Cookson ;)

Those days were different and football has changed completely.

Some things are obviously better but the laughs are definitely fewer ;)

Yeah, you've mentioned that twice ...... do you have anything else or have you emptied your tiny brain?

Did you go to the match in the 60s 70s upto the mid 80s?
The world was a different place back then, you didn't have to be a hooligan to get caught up in trouble. And with the shipyards, steel and mining industries still going strong younguns tended to be more rough round the edges than these days, fighting occurred in most pubs in the east Durham pit villages back then and wasn't frowned upon like it is now. That's not to say it's right it's just the way the world was.

Very accurate ...........as viewed through a lens of the time and not retrospectively.

Mate he posted two weeks ago that females have no place in football and when he sees one at the match he wonders" Who's getting the groceries in ?"
He's a fool who is best ignored.

This thread can be summed up in this post.
Our fans were witty, hilarious hardmen who despite at the height of violence going into home ends , drinking in home oppositions boozers and making their presence known by wearing our colours and singing our songs.
Invariably we always came out on top in any battles regardless of numbers with one bloke taking down 5 by himself.
Oh and they definitely weren't hooligans.

I love this thread, Im not a Sland fan, dont know any of the names mentioned but its the 1st thread I read on here, there is very little mention of hooliganism, its about characters met on travels around the country,of course there was trouble at times, which you could easily get caught up in but there is no glorifying of it in this thread

Probably is mate but he's talking shite about times that I doubt he experienced.
