I've met some truly mad Sunderland supporters .....

I have to say the Millwall supporters, at the Old Trafford semi-final, were the scruffiest bunch of tramps I've ever seen.

I couldn't imagine living amongst people like that.
We spent the night in a hotel bar with a few of them, and a random group of Norwich fans. Sensitive souls they are, couldn't take any piss-taking without getting "larey". The Norwich fans were the complete opposite, cracking bunch.

Going to & from the ground they seemed to be all out to enforce their image of hard lads, even with their kids in tow. Even on the M6 on the way back home they were a load of ignorant gobshites. Worst set of fans I've ever crossed swords with, as a generalisation.

Which log ins are these?

Dunno why you're bringing me into it, I haven't had a pop at you at all this thread. I think it's an interesting thread and enjoyed reading parts of it, it's just a shame some are intent on glorifying violence which was almost always cowardly.
He claims I came on to have a childish pop at him when all I did was post a very light hearted photo that even t-bone liked. From that came the usual reiver drivel of obsessions and personal remarks.
Some people just take themselves too seriously.

Haven't seen Wilkie(y) since Twitter died - think he still goes but only home games - almost as rare as seeing Chips- think he's doing well for himself but its about 5 years since I last saw him.
I've been friends with Mr Clifford for donkeys years. He used to work at Sacriston Baths when I worked for CLS council. I'm in touch with him on Facebook but he rarely posts. Bump into him every so often, pretty randomly. Last time was at Newcastle Dental hospital where by chance both of our daughters were having teeth done. Cracking lad with more than enough SAFC stories to tel!

They are a breed apart. Real low lifes.

Wilky s bus was stopped after that night after boro and leiceter joined up but they got a shock and if memory has it he got banned for a while.Bumped into him down London with a few old timers for Scotland game.

.

The Arsenal match I mentioned earlier was the first time I had come into contact with him. Sunderland were pretty quite having had to fight your way into the away section changed when Chips ended up standing on a barrier with his top off

Don't talk shite man.

You'd already been on, before that, having a pop at me and others and trotting out the same crack you've posted before.

Of course, Haway immediately 'liked' your post and you 'liked' his a few minutes later ...... just like clockwork as I said.

Then, of course, you come back again later with your stupid 'proper nawty' crap.

Despite it being obvious, to even people like yourself, that the thread is about Sunderland characters you and Haway insist that it's about violence.

As usual your only 'contribution' to a decent thread is to criticise other Sunderland supporters.

If that's what you see as 'light hearted' it says everything about what kind of 'character' you are.

there was one game where we played at Highbury and someone opened the doors below that separated us from the Arsenal fans. It kicked off and the police eventually got the doors shut. chips was left on the other side by himself with the Arsenal fans and took his shoes off to use as weapons. He was eventually rescued and desposited back in with us.

I was agreeing with what another poster said, if im having a pop then obviously he was yet you decide to have a go at me. The good natured stiryes are a good read, the shite about fighting i find tedious.
The photo I posted was very light hearted, if you take that seriously it says a lot about your character really.
I'll not post anymore on this thread as it's a popular one and I don't wish to derail it.

That was mad when you had to walk through the Arsenal supporters to get to your terrace.

We arrived late once, thought better of it and went in the paddocks

You've posted the same shite half a dozen times before man, but don't let that stop you blaming another poster.

He never got a ban. The police were after him for a few seasons and tried to get him and Cola jailed for what happened at Ashby

Is that Ray from Barley Mow, he used to travel with us on the Gateshead bus, we would pick up a few in Birtley, then Ray was last one on at The Barley Mow.

Smashing lad but daft as a brush and he got locked up 3 times in a few month for footy related stuff. He got sent down for 3 months.

The day he was released was a Tuesday and we were away to Preston that night. Ray came straight from Durham nick and walked into Gateshead Central club where we were drinking before setting off. His first words were 'Is there room on the bus for me?'

That was Slosher at half time, the doors just swung open and we were all stood looking at each other, then it kicked off.

The lad I was talking about is chips from Sacriston. The lad I think you are talking about is Raymond Bartlett aka nickers from Chester le street. I know ray well although haven't seen him for a while now but I used to travel with him for a while. Wacky jacky off here also knows him.

He has been in and out of jail for a lot of his life and had umpteen bans. Staunch red and white.
