Its not me whose 'organised' it. I don't think its actually organised anyway.I'm all for protests if they are done for the right reasons I just think the cause you've chosen is the wrong one and may as well shout at thunderstorms. By all accounts Short is actively trying to sell the club and no amount of huffing and puffing by us will speed the process up. He's not going to knock £200m off the price tag because some half cut spotty 20 year old son are blustering in a town that he's probably not in anyway.
And today isn't the right day.
Charlie Hurley Day is a great concept but organised in part to try and engender some atmosphere and deflect attention away from what could turn nasty today. Steve-Bruce-Wigan keeps being mentioned and the club have tried to nip it in the bud. And fair enough.
Mr Hurley deserves far more adulation than we can bestow on him. Personally I think a statue should have been announced today rather than the gates but hey ho.
Also - He's actively looking to sell it? I dunno. But by telling us he's tried, it also diverts animosity away.
Look at the Allams. They've been promising to sell for months. And now theyre saying they might not bother if no buyer is found for Hull by Christmas
But today is about 3 points so lets get on with it.
