Remember how we relegated the mags?

Nope, I just find the laughing and pisstaking is embarrassing now. Considering that they will more than likely be in a better position next year.

They might not. We might stay up. We might go down, they come up, then we swap again. How far down the line do you want to go. This season the Barca of the North are in the tin pot league and it's hilarious

Okay. The vast majority of relegated teams don't have a lot of valuable assets to sell, so we were lucky in that respect. A lot that come straight back up gamble on keeping their squad together, so even though they're not spending money, they're taking a financial hit by continuing to pay Premier League wages. This is what we did last time under Hughton.

This has been different as we've lost a lot of players, and thankfully most of the high earners. I think we lost something like 14 players, so we had no choice other than to replace them. His brief is obviously to get out of this league at the first attempt, and totally agree that anything other than that would be failure. We all know Ashley is a gambler, and he's certainly putting a lot of eggs in this particular basket.

I don't think anyone is expecting another Keegan era, especially with the amount of money around and the strength of the top end clubs, but it's nice to have a bloke in charge who seemingly knows what he's doing. He also seems a very decent fella as well, which in a sport dripping with absolute bellends, is a rarity in itself.

You may mock our failure to win anything under Keegan, but they were great times to be a Newcastle fan. Great times.

Fair post mate, not often you would get a skunk acknowledging the things mentioned in my post so fair play to you

I'd wish you good luck for the rest of the season but I won't mean it as I hope you crash and burn

He has turned a squad with loads of holes in it to a one with cover all over it which is again different to recent years. The amount of money Villa have spent (which is way bigger net spendmore than any other Championship club) might mean their wage bill is higher than ours but ours will be one of the highest

You haven't answered my question but a fair point about Villa

Let's be honest here it wasnt you that sent us down it was also the other teams in the league who beat us week in and week out under the clown Mclaren. If Rafa had came in January we would have survived. Such chilling similarities between Mclaren and moyes the gutless displays, the comical soundbites during interviews

Can't see anything other than a bottom placed finish for you lot this year already the Hull and Swansea home games are massive fail to win both of them and it's curtains

Still absolutely SEETHING because WE RELEGATED THE SPUNKSOCKS :lol::lol:

That a good post that like.

Calm down dear one step at a time. We have got rid of the cowards Janamaat, Sissoko & Windalum. We have bought players to try and get out of this league. IF we go up then I agree with whoever said it earleir that we will need to overhaul the squad again as the current one would struggle again. Difference now is RAFA is building from a strong defence which is a novelty for NUFC;). We are not thinking we are going to win anything but it is good going to games and winning for a change.
Aye in the CHAMPIONSHIP with the most expensive side ever assembled at that level ? Some manager like

I can't be happy about Newcastle being relegated as they may be in a division above us some time in the future* :(

(*Fair enough this looks like it's going to be next season like but you get my point)

What a fun person you must be. There's no point in having fun cos we'll all be dead one day may as well just top ourselves now and save the bother of wasting resources.

Bet all those mags who celebrated Gillingham putting us into the old division 3 felt really silly when we put them down last season.

As Kone slammed home the third, sealing Newcastles relegation, I couldn't bring myself to celebrate cos I knew they might come back up :(

I remember being at sid james' when they beat us 5-1. The Mags didn't even celebrate or ever mention it again as they remembered we hold the record victory, 9-1.

I'm packing in or this will go on forever and it's only aimed at 1 poster who I think is a mag WUM anyway :lol:

I'm not even laughing at that cos there might be a Mackem WUM on one of their forums.

Erm.....speechless here, marra. We sent you down. No matter how long you revisionists go on and on about it WE RELEGATED YOU, although you've been such an easy 6 points lately we may live to regret it..

That's a joke, right?
