Remember how we relegated the mags?

No.

If you went to the supermarket with 50 quid in your wallet, bought all your shopping, yet came home with 80 quid. Would you say you'd spent a lot, or would you say you were 30 notes better off?
I think the point was that by either flogging players on, which you did Damn well, or just straight up funds, you've had the money to blow away anyone in that league. Doesn't guarantee anything but it's an enormous advantage.

Again you are missing the point, you got money in fine but you still spent a large chunk of it creating a squad to get you out of the Championship. More than 99% teams who have ever been at that level are able to spend whether they get money from sales or not. That is a massive advantage for Rafa which is seemingly passing your supporters by, he probably started out with the most expensive Championship squad in history and I bet you are paying the most wages in the league , anything other than promotion after the money you have spent will be a failure

You are looking on course to go up, fine but have you seen the clip of some of the squads that have been promoted from that league us included

Doesnt matter which way they dress it up. They spent a load of cash in the Premiership (when they went down I might add) and thus had players they could sell, for a good wedge, meaning they had money to burn again this season. Whether it was for a profit or not, it meant they had a huge advantage over everyone else. The fact cannot be denied.

I'm not gloating at all, just pointing out it's a bit silly to say we've beaten zero PL teams, when we're in the same boat as yourselves.

Still plenty of work to do to get promoted, as there will be IF we do go up. I'm more than happy with the progress we've made on and off the pitch under Rafa, and it's great to have the feel good factor back which hasn't been there for a long time.

Was thinking about it the other day, and I actually think Rafa would have walked away feeling his job was done, if we'd have managed to stop up, and be struggling again with some duffer in charge. So far from relegating us, you actually saved us.

Thanks, thanks to all at SAFC for this wonderful new era that awaits.;)
I won't be telling my grad children about the day we "saved" Newcastle ffs  I'll be telling them about the day we relegated them  RELEGATED NOT SAVED.

Probably wouldn't by any other clubs supporters but them fuckers are a breed of their own

Just sums up why football fans the length and breadth of Britain hate these deluded, clueless fuckwits.
And why we all piss ourselves laughing at them every time they get kicked out of the Premier league, despite having the most famous No.9 shirt in world football.

Errr, I wasn't being entirely serious Brains, hence the winky thing.

You saved us, and fucked yourselves over in the process.

A delicious double own goal.

He's got them top of the league, Playing good football and in the last 8 of a major trophy
What's that got to do with the summer when he was the best thing in the world and none of it was his fault.the dwarfication of the premier league and the championship was where it was at.

Maybe they could see that they had a decent manager in place ready for the season ahead? He's the best manager they've had since robson

Why worry about other teams even if it is the Mags?

I worry about our club and at the moment there is a lot to worry about. Every chance we swap divisions next season with the Mags and I would suspect if that happens that we won't come straight back up and they won't come straight back down. But that's all for the crystal ball, we have 29 PL cup finals left to play this season and we need to start bringing home some silverware.

Are you a mag this summer was one of the most shameful spells they've had. The chronic and journal we're at a level of delusion beyond anything they've ever had the fans just as bad.

Yeah we're shite and haven't won yet but remind me again how many premier league sides they have beaten this season. Zero, because we relegated the twats and they are beating championship teams every week as they have spent a fortune on good championship class players.
Spent minus £25m / £30m??

What happens if in the mean time the shop (Waitrose) you used to go to (the Premier League) used to give you a load of money for shopping there. But the new shop (Lidl) you are going to (the Championship) are giving you nowhere near the same amount.

Its all relative. But congratulations again on winning relegation.
