Benitez would attract players if they come up but good luck trying to get these players off the wage bill. They will be on decent wages and will not be in a rush to move on. Of their current squad, only Ritchie and Perez and potentially Mitrovic are good enough for the Premier League. The likes of Hanley, Hayden, Clark, Diame, etc. are relegation fodder. The majority of the squad are still those who got them relegated without the "stars".

Got to get promotion first....

The mags are recouping as much in fees as they're spending and again wages wise they're replacing like for like. However, they're selling a handful of players and buying 10, mostly very average standard, all on decent cash no doubt.

The mags will receive around £60M less than the bottom premier league club this season and even though they have the best squad due to huge player influx there is still no guarantees they'll go up. It's incredibly short termish what they are doing as their budget is still at a premier league level.

Not one single player they've bought is mid premier league standard, maybe one or two have potential but remember they're pushing for top 4 from next season :)

I've watched him a few times for Ipswich and he's really not that good at that level now. Average chanpionship striker.
