They played some lovely football but they finished third in a two horse race. When it mattered they absolutely bottled it, every time they got close their arses went. Winning the possession stats doesn't make you the best team in the league when you're mentally brittle, they lost by 11pts FFS.

Absolutely no question who the best team in the league was last season unless you want to watch the highlight reel of Tottenham and solely judge them on that.

It takes more than some nice passes to win a league title.

Many "experts" were saying when it becomes reality our arses will go but we W8 D4 L0 of our last 12 games. Only Alex Ferguson went against the tide and proclaimed we'd win it with three games to spare in February because we "were far and away the best team in the league".

I'm really happy that Leicester won the league last season, but in the history of the football league, I wonder if there has ever been a luckier winner.

Not that I'd care if it was Sunderland, I'd probably still be naked and pissed now

Leicester played some tika taka as well. We weren't the kick and rush team many of you would like to believe. You don't win a Premier League title by 10pts by booting it up to the quick lad up top.

Lucky?

10pts clear lucky?

I remember twelve months ago @Leicester Fan getting pelters on here for suggesting that his club could get into the top four. Therefore, I'm not going to be too quick in suggesting that they will not have a good run in the CL

Expect many more signings through the door? Saw you were bidding £15M for Michael Keane yesterday.

I agree, he's an average PL midfielder on the ball but when we haven't got the ball he's the best midfielder in the world IMO. We are a side who have possession similar to relegated sides, we were 18th in the possession stats last season. He was given license to burst forward and run with the ball at Leicester as we broke at breakneck speed. His game suited our style of play to a tee.

I suspect at Chelsea, like France, he'll be asked to sit in front of the back four and hold his position and give it to Fabregas, Willian or Oscar as soon as he gets the ball and although still be good he won't be as effective as he was at Leicester.

:lol::lol::lol: You're having a f***ing nightmare here pal :lol:

I don't think I ever said top four (not at the start of the season anyway) but got plenty of pelters for suggesting we could finish top ten.

People ridiculed me when I said that our last nine games of the previous season when we W7 D1 L1 could possibly be nearer our level than the bottom three which we spent most of the season in.

I'm a great believer in not writing off recent form as an anomaly and accepting it might possibly be mean reversion or a new found level.

Like Sunderland shouldn't be judged on the shambolic team who started last season but on the solid, organised outfit who lost one in their last eleven games. That's why I thought Sunderland could finish about 12th this season with the best part of 50 pts. BSA going may make me reevaluate that but it's what I thought a couple of weeks a go.

I've read that he's on £115k a week at Chelsea, Leicester offered him £100k. I'm sure Leicester would have matched that if the extra £15k a week was the deciding factor.

He's a total shit for jumping ship after one year. Whose to say Leicester wouldn't be more successful than Chelsea this coming season? Is it totally inconceivable we could be? We won the league by 10pts and have Champions League football, something Kante has never played.

Leicester have arguably more to offer than Chelsea do for at least this one season at least. He's totally shit on his colleagues, club and fans leaving at the first opportunity. If we get knocked out the Champions League and are 10th in January then fine if you want to move on but doing it this way is bullshit.

Spot on.

Given he has never played at Champions league level I can't believe he has given up that chance for an alleged extra £15k per week, even a decent start to the season for him with Leicester not necessarily hitting the heights of last season would have still seen him able to move on in January and a cracking season with Leicester having a good run in the league and Champs League would have seen his stock rise even further.

Maybe he's a boyhood Chelsea fan

Yes. I don't begrudge you, but it's a once in a lifetime event, stop thinking you're one of the elites now and just enjoy it man.

I've never said we are one of the elites but we have an opportunity to force our way onto the top table.

People expect us to enjoy our success and get back in our box but why should we? Opportunities like these come along once in a lifetime, another highly succesful season and all of a sudden we're a realistic option for top players.

The last two months of the season were absolute hell for me. I would be elated when we won at the weekend, down in the dumps when Tottenham won as they usually played after us and then aniextey pans for the rest of the week until the next match.

I couldn't go to the cinema or watch TV without my thoughts turning to Leicester City and I even woke up in the middle of the night more than once worrying about Leicester.

At one point I would have gladly took successive relegations to the Conference if Leicester could just win the PL this once.

Now it's done and dusted I'm greedy for more success, I don't want to become another club who make up the numbers and are glad just to survive in the PL and have a decent cup run once a decade.

He'll also be getting a few million signing bonus on top as well. It's a bit shit that he won't give Leicester another year like but as we all know, loyalty is a rare thing in football!

It'll be interesting to see how they cope without him, he was by far their best player whenever i seen them play, especially in the game against us up here.
