Burton Albion v Newcastle

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

I don't care about current form.

Southampton are a much better side than Newcastle this season.

You don't care about current form, yet you're expecting us to thrash Everton easily because their current form is poor?

Before today, Southampton had only taken 2 points more than Newcastle over the last 6 games.

People have been banging on saying how easy it'll be because teams are "on the beach" - today proves exactly why that sort of assumption is bollocks.
Being on the beach is a relative term. Against an on-fire Sunderland, Everton will be on the beach.

They've only won 2 games under Benitez, to Swansea and Palace. Nothing teams with nothing to play for. Spurs are the 2nd best team in the league. They've had their wake up call today. They need a draw to finish above Arsenal.

2-0 is my just for fun.
At least 0-3 to accommodate a Kane hat trick.

Why is that relevant to now, exactly? Form at this stage of the season is everything, and while people may be desperate to get all excited about us relegating the mags, absolutely nothing is certain. Newcastle have 2 wins and 3 draws in their last 5 games and there's nothing to suggest they won't get a result next weekend either.

If we lose or even draw on Wednesday night, it won't be Sunderland feeling confident going into the final day, especially not if Norwich beat Watford, but aye it's f***ing class we're stopping up (even though it's not actually guaranteed unless we win our next game, but let's go on like we already have.)
We've got the same recent form as they have. Yet they'll beat Spurs, but we'll struggle against Everton and Watford?
Aye ok

Can understand people worrying still like that we're not safe yet but it hasn't been this positive for weeks, even I was negative a week or so ago thinking we were gone and we still might but I feel very positive now than I did back then. Whatever happens happens, it's in our own hands and if we throw it away now then we deserve to go down.

Given the thread you tried to turn into a battle ground last night...:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Why do you always feel the need to carry stuff from one thread to another it's pathetic man, and I won't reply to you again.

If your feeling positive then we will be fine ;)

Aye ok

But we'll piss it over Everton with that same form? Aye ok

I never said that.

I am expecting us to not lose as Everton have had a poor season and their manager is under loads of pressure from the fans

So we'll draw v Everton and could therefore still be relegated. Glad you cleared that up.
