When Tufty was in charge I think a lot of people were confident we'd win next week, maybe too confident.
Its usually been the case that in the build up to the Derby the Mags have written e-mails and spoken shit about knowing what they've needed to do. The likes of Ryder and Douglas have hyped it up and because the fans lap it up they've only succeeded in putting more pressure on the team.

Sunderland have gone about their business quietly.

The appointment of Bouncy will send the papers and the fans into orbit in the week before the Derby, in some respects they will feel they have the momentum back, while I'm sure, as usual Sunderland will go about their business quietly and as they have done the last six times, play the game and not the occasion. I truly can't see the Mags doing that, regardless of a new manager they have still lost #6inarow, it's likely they will still be in the relegation zone and the pressure will be huge, we absolutely need the points too but I really don't think the pressure will be felt half as much by Sunderland players as by Mag players.

Good manager but tufty has played a blinder by not buying any defensive players in January. They had a defence as bad as ours but we have been bolstered by Kone and shored up in midfield by Kirchoff. Their first choice keeper is still crocked and they also have nobody like Defoe in their side, a proven goalscorer at this level.

Hopefully they'll get well beat on Monday and it will be a case of as you were :-)

He will organise them. Something McLaren failed with massively in his 28 games.
Whether that makes them better defensively or more of a threat up front I don't know , but they won't be a total pushover anymore
I hope he has the big Ron Atkinson. Affect rather than the effect our last 3 managers have had

Just watched his little 10 min interview with the club's website and the difference between him and McClaren is night and day. Full of positivity and had a sense of purpose, no bullshit, no waffle, no stupid f***ing smiles and giggles, he knows what he wants and how to get it.

Well yes. He's obviously the best manager you have had since Bobby Robson. IF you stay up, he will do fine next year.

But you need to get more points than both of us and Norwich in the next 10 games, and your squad is bloody awful apart from Winaldjum and Shelvey, who can't carry you on their own.

And we are looking a much better unit over the past few weeks...

Good post. IF they now lose both the Leicester game and the derby sheer panic will resume and they wont recover.

If we fail to stop us I f***ing hope Norwich pip them to 17th!

Bouncy brought 59 players into Liverpool during his time there at a cost of £230,000,000. The overwhelming majority of his signings were absolutely f***ing wank. Be surprised if Mike gives him the level of control and budget he is used to.

And if he doesn't get the control he wants he will be away regardless

;)

One thing I know about Rafa, he can be wound up.
'The problem for him is that I was very successful. I’ve won trophies and Big Sam, I don’t think he’s ever seen a trophy before.'
Yeah that play off final didn't happen did it rafa?:lol::lol:
