It's a good appointment. They've certainly given themselves a far better chance of staying up now than they had under McClaren, I'm worried about the derby.

When Allardyce was appointed Sunderland were one place above Newcastle in the league, which is still the case.

If Sunderland stay up this season or go down, he will be sacked within another 6 months. There is only so much you can take of setting up for a draw at home to newly promoted teams.

Wrong he took over a very poor squad. Made it to one window been climbing out of the bottom 3 all season. We will be safe based on January 31st projections and please bookmark this you are wrong about BSA. He is a very good manager and will charge us up the table next year in the PL.

This 'new manager bounce thingy' is quite interesting isn't it?

The next 4 games will probably tell us a lot about the effect this will have.

Newcastle are behind us on points, and goal difference, so are playing catch up.

I think they'll lose against Leicester & Norwich and draw the other two .........
