Are you saying he's not a top manager? He's won trophies galore. You don't become the manager of Valencia, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Napoli and Real Madrid by being average. Just accept they've appointed a good manager. He could easily still take them down but him being appointed will likely improve them.
Honestly I'm sure some on here would say that Ronaldo was finished if he signed for the Mags.
Replacing McLaren with Benitez will most likely improve them, so it's not good news!
He has won trophies galore aye, from taking over f***ing good teams who should be winning stuff anyways. He then systematically seems to take them apart until he is sacked and loses the plot.
Let's see what he can do with a relegation threatened team with shite players and their special fans.
Not going to wet my knickers like so many on here and instantly think we are down. Let's see how he does first. He might turn out to be that manager, or he could be the imbecile that has seen him sacked so many times previous.
He won the Europa league with the champions league holders...Chelsea?
He was outstanding at Valencia and has had success at Chelsea and Liverpool since. Real Madrid don't hire muppet managers.
I find this hilarious. The West Ham way seems to be never winning anything ever, and getting relegated every few years. My West Ham supporting mate thinks he did, that said he doesn't buy into the West Ham way bollocks, reckons Allardyce is a solid manager but not one who will ever have a team pushing at the top but one that in time will have you hover around the middle of the table.
He is quite often slating his own fans for the way they treat Allardyce.
with world class players. He won the Europa league with the champions league holders...
Aye, it's hardly an amazing feat likewith world class players.
He won't, there's apparently a clause.Be interesting to see what happerns if thery do go down. Can't see him wanting to manage in the championship.
There's a reason why the 'big name managers' are in their jobs.
I wouldn'tWe'd wank ourselves silly if Benitez was coming here.
This changes nothing we still have the get the results, can't just rely on Newcastle and Norwich.
I said earlier in the thread mate, if he pulls this off it will be Rafa's biggest achievement in football by a considerable distance.Aye, it's hardly an amazing feat like
He won't, there's apparently a clause.
Wasn't that also the same reaction he had when England sacked him?!...
He might keep them up but they won't be racking up pointsI admire your positive attitude (on this subject) but I fear there's a bit of whistling in the dark involved. In the past Ashley has completely botched up when it came to replacing managers during the season but if it's Benitez then I cannot see him failing to keep them up. Newcastle's defence is shocking but they've got some good players elsewhere who just need the right motivator to start racking up the points.
We can only hope Mike manages to surprise us. I think it's time for Richard Dinnis to return.
He looks like a sex doll you'd give to your exThe BBC have picked an absolutely superb picture to illustrate the "he's been sacked" headline on their homepage:
