Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

I'm not talking about a legal sense, because we're not talking about the trial/ whether what the QC said is admissible as finding him guilty/ not. We're talking about whether in a practical sense of whether it supports or undermines what AJ said whether what the QC says supports it... and in that sense, the sense we're talking about, it clearly corroborate's what AJ said...

Club owners, directors and staff are in place to safe guard the current and future standing of our football club as the club is the heartbeat of the community and is held in high esteem by supporters and the wider community. Anyone failing that duty isn't doing their job to the best of their ability and therefore should be replaced....If MB knew AJ kissed that girl she should do the right thing and resign..if she doesn't walk she should be replaced..

Agree with this

So because we're near he bottom of the table we can't question the club's behaviour in this case?

When would it be okay? 15th? 8th?
What do you think your questioning will achieve ?
I'll tell you what, Feck all.
I'd rather you and all the other home kit barristers talked about football.
Football, remember that ?

"Corroborating" isn't a word that is used exclusively in trials you realise?

Corroborate: 'confirm or give support to (a statement, theory, or finding).'

Does the QC saying 'I was at the meeting when AJ was there and so was Byrne' confirm or give support to what AJ said or not?

If so, why are you objecting to me using the word?

It's even more pathetic to blindly back it even though serious qu

The club had there chance and blew it. Not a single thing wrong with wanting answers. The club is getting dragged through the ringer ffs through no fault of the fans.
It's being dragged through the wringer by so called Sunderland fans.

That bit won't happen.

It may die down or not - although under Short and Byrne, they have form for trying to ride out controversy by saying nothing, and then having to backtrack a few days later because they have completely ballsed up the media management.

But if it does die down, the outcome of that won't be that Short, or Byrne, or anyone else from the club, makes any kind of effort to communicate with the fans. They've never done that since they got here.

They might send out Jimmy Montgomery and Kevin Ball to the Fan Zone to say something, I suppose.

I'll be honest mate; I was at WHU on Sat and then the Palace game on Tuesday, and it has to be said the vast majority of our fanbase just want to move on from the whole thing. I certainly didn't sense a desire to drag this horror show out any longer and I very much doubt the vast majority of our actual support want to feed the media queuing up to kick the club.

I acknowledge some fans are unhappy , but as far as I'm concerned the matter should be between the fans and the club - not the shitehawk media. I'd personally like to see an announcement from the club that they will meet with supporters groups, but pass no further comment to the media. Let the media fuck off and we can address our own matters

Excuse us if we don't take seriously the opinion of a bloke who said that kissing and grooming an underage child are "nothing charges".

The 2 charges he admitted would have probably resulted in a fine and community service.

The charge he was convicted of, oral sex with a child is looking like 5 year sentence. That's how the courts view the seriousness of the offences, I agree.

Whst I detest about you pontificating on here is thst if this was Newcastle you would be lauding the fucker up agreeing with us demanding answers from the club left right and centre
You said that yesterday man, I purposely absolutely purposely never engage with you, but that's twice in two days you've randomly commented on one of my posts.

The Sex Offenders Act 1997 defined paedophilia as a sexual relationship between an adult over 18 and a child below 16. The press are merely reporting that fact, whether you believe the position in Law is right or wrong is separate and a matter of opinion.
No it didn't.

Did she know if it was a thank you kiss for the shirt or a passionate kiss ?

Of course I do otherwise I wouldn't have posted and made my original comment.

It's usually used in courts & evidence and this is a QC involved in a court case ...... quite natural to believe you were speaking in legal sense tbh.

Cos he's just on another of his smart arse crusades Marra. he would start an argument in an empty room just to prove himself right !!
At the end of the day AJ 's brief confirmed the meeting with Byrne took place and she was handed documents containing statements and the what's app messages.
The club haven't denied that at all.
All they have done is deny that they knew he was going to plead guilty.
But that isn't the argument or allegation. The allegation is that Byrne was at the meeting when he admitted kissing the lass and had access to evidence.
The club have done fuck all to deny it.

1) The charges he admitted to would have got him a suspended sentence because the grooming aspect is taken so seriously
2) He wasn't convicted of oral sex with a child, he was acquitted of that, and done for digital penetration
